Details for South Florida Kickball Open Tournament 2009

Come on down to warm, sunny South Florida for the winter and compete in the first kickball tournament of 2009!

The tournament will be held Saturday, January 17th, 2009 at Mills Pond Park in Ft. Lauderdale, FL during the Martin Luther King Holiday weekend. Kickball and an extra day in the sun, who could pass this up?

We will use WAKA rules for the tourney and there will be a maximum cash prize of $5000 to the winner and $2500 for second. Additional activities will include a happy hour on Friday before the tournament and a party Saturday night in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Last year’s tournament included nationally ranked teams Hey Whoa, Meatballs, Young Guns, Gonzo and Dumpster Fire.

Registration will open October 20, 2008 on a first come first serve basis. The entry fee will be $500 per team and we will cap the entries at 24 teams. We will leave 12 spots open for out of area teams until November 10th. After that date we will open the remaining spots to all teams. A $100 non-refundable deposit received by November 10th is all that’s necessary to hold your teams’ spot in the tourney with the remaining amount required by January 9th.

Send an email to registration@soflakickballopen.com with your team name and location and team captain and co-captains along with your email address.
$100 deposit to be received no later than November 10th

A maximum of 20 players can be on your roster

Again, if your $100 deposit is not received by November 10th your team is subject to replacement.
