Pool Play:
• Pool play rounds will be 50 minutes long, with a 10-minute break between rounds.
o 5 innings or 50 minutes (official game after 3 innings)
• A horn will be sounded at the beginning and ending of each game.
• At the end of 50 minutes, the score goes to the last completed inning.
• There will be no overtime or tie breakers for Pool Play.
Tournament Brackets:
• All teams advance to tournament bracket.
• Seeding will be determined by Pool Play results, sorting according to WAKA sort order rules.
• There will be no time limit for tournament games.
• Quarterfinal and Semifinal games will run for 5 innings with regular rules. If the game is tied at the end of 5 innings, beginning in the 6th inning teams may only field 8 players on the field (4 of each gender), including the catcher, and the last kicker from the previous inning should start the next inning on 2nd base. The 6th and 7th innings will be played this way. At the end of the 7th inning, if the game is still a tie, furthest kick will determine the winner.
• For Furthest Kick, both teams take the field. Each team should pick one pitcher and one kicker. Each team pitches to their own kicker. Kickers get three (3) tries to kick as far as they can. Wherever the ball lands is where it is marked, but opposing team members may knock the ball out of the air, and wherever they were standing becomes the mark.
• The final game goes until one team is declared winner. There will be no tie breakers.
Tournament Rules:
• The Tournament Rules will be determined by the WAKA 2009 rules.
• Download a copy of the WAKA 2009 Rule Book here
• Note, this tourney will use WAKA’s rule book for 2009 – which includes a two-bounce rule. Read the full listing of the WAKA 2009 changes to the rules (Revision 1/2009).
