Washington, DC. — Yesterday the Meatballs of Ft. Lauderdale, FL defeated the Situation of Virginia Beach, VA to win the fourth annual DC Kickball365 Open (#DCKO2012). The final score of the Championship Final was 5 to 2 in 6 innings. The #DCKO Tournament, the ninth Circuit Event of the year on Kickball365′s National Tour presented by Complete Discovery Source. This year the tournament attracted 24 competitive kickball teams from DC, Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Connecticut, Vermont, and New York
The DC Kickball365 Open was a one-day event at the brand new Long Bridge Park of Arlington, VA. Over 380 players competed in a round robin group play of four games where the top 16 teams advanced to single elimination. In the end the Meatballs defended their DC Championship and secured their second victory on The Circuit’s National Tour and a cash prize of $2500. The Situation will take home a cash prize of $1000.
