Only the best teams in the country will be at the second annual Circuit Cup Championship – we’re proud to announce three more! The Cup is scheduled for Sunday, November 11th in New Orleans. While the entire weekend is scheduled to include party after party (starting Thursday November 8th) – teams who could not attend Circuit Events on the National Tour (to secure their qualifying bid) had the ability to secure a bid to the ultimate competitive kickball tournament of America – the Kickball365 Circuit Cup Championship (#CCC2012).
After a lengthy review process and discussion, Kickball365′s Executive Team is proud to announce the following Teams selected as this year’s Wild Card Teams for the 2012 Circuit Cup Championship:
1) “Relax and Let It Happen” (Austin TX) of WAKA Kickball
2) “STL Finest” (St. Louis, MO) of the UnifiedBallers, WGGA, Sportsmonster Leagues
3) “Oh Danny Balls” (New Orleans, LA) of WAKA Kickball
Why was RELAX selected?
Relax is the perfect combination of competitive athletes and partygoers. We’ve been to two Circuit tournaments (SFKO & LSKO) this year as a team and have a record of 6-3-1. Our three losses have been to MEATBALLS, OSC, and Cobra Kai. The roster we’ve had to take to both Circuit tournaments has not included either of our two catchers (also 1/2 kickers). To give you an example of the important people we’re missing the guy who kicked 1st in both SFKO and LSKO will be somewhere between 7-9 @ CC. Our CC team will be able to compete with any team in the field. As far as our record outside of Circuit goes, we’ve had 4 seasons of WAKA this year and have yet to lose a game.
Why was STL Finest selected?
Why was Oh Danny Balls selected?
Oh Danny Balls (ODB), from New Orleans, has won 4 local WAKA league championships, with a combined record of 48-0 and scored over 100+ runs in every season while only allowing no more than 7 runs in each of the 4 season. In the 2011 founders cup we made our first appearance, winning our pool and first round game and lost in the sweet 16 to the meatballs, the only loss in ODB’s history. We would be a great addition to the circuit championship and would look forward to representing the host city.
