Ft. Lauderdale, FL. — Today Panik Attack (Virginia Beach, VA) defeated the returning 3-time champs The Meatballs (Ft. Lauderdale, Florida) to win the 6th Annual South Florida Kickball Open (SFKO). The final score was 3-2 in six innings.
The South Florida Kickball Open (#SFKO2013), the first Circuit Event of the National Tour this year, is typically known as one of the largest and most competitive tournaments on The Circuit. This year the tournament attracted 26 competitive kickball teams from across the country including Arizona, Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Virginia, Washington DC, Georgia, Maryland, and Florida.
The South Flrodia Kickball Open was a one-day event held on Saturday, February 23rd at Tradewinds Park in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Over 415 players competed in a round robin group play of four games where the top 16 teams advanced to a single elimination tournament. In the end, Panik Attack secured their first SFKO Championship and will be taking home a cash prize of $4500, a SFKO Champion Plaque, and a gift from the Social Sponsor Fireball Whisky.
