We have gotten word that there will be an OPEN kickball tournament in November – the Lee County Sheriff’s Department and Lee County Parks and Rec Charity Kickball Tourney!
There will be a charity kickball tournament on Saturday, November 8, 2008 to benefit the family of Andrew Widman – a Fort Myers Police Officer who was shot and killed in the line of duty. This will be co-sponsored by both the Lee County Sheriff’s Department and Lee County Parks and Rec, with all proceeds going to the officer’s family. The entry fee per team will be $100 and we will cap the tourney at 32 teams – it is an all day tournament with food and beverage provided. The tournament will be set up using WAKA rules and will start promptly at 9am at Veteran’s Park on Homestead Road in Lehigh Acres, Florida.
The tournament will be pool play in the morning with bracket play starting after lunch. Please feel free to contact me for any further information. The email for info on the tourney is kickball4charity@gmail.com.
Kickball365 was founded on May 26, 2006 as a means for players to give honest feedback on their kickball experience independent of any organization. This encompasses a discussion board for topics related to the sport.
