huh, you think they could be tired for the CC having played in a tourney the week before? nah, but its a more valid excuse than the crap about it being too cold to play anymore. I think the lowest our season end tourney final has been played at was about 18 degrees. Mid forties is balmy.
Horses Circuit Power Poll: 14. Superdudes - It's freezing where they live, theres no way they're practicing. Actually, MUSA's regular season went until last week and the Dudes will be playing in Golden Lunchbox XXV Saturday, so they will be ready. Maybe they will be tired out if they go deep though.

Took a peek at it. Was 9:55 in the semi final video. I think that was Jared?
We play with just the plate at a strike zone and two strikes of any kind (including a foul) is an out. Having played that way for years, as devils advocate, it seems you arent expecting your skilled pitchers to be that skilled. Sure they can whip it in there, but there is no risk/reward for doing so...
A good amount of the same team Superdudes team (6 of 10 players in the field), but not exactly the same. The controversy was over players from Vandelay and Recreational Hazard (both of those teams played in the Fall '12 final) playing with Sport & Wood as a second team with the sole purpose of ...
MUSA Kickball congratulates Sport & Wood on taking their first Golden Lunchbox today in the 24th edition of our league tourney that is the capstone of our spring and fall seasons. Sport & Wood bested Blue Balls in the final, giving Blue Balls lunchbox blue balls for the second time as the wo...
Will pass on to the troops. Hope a couple teams make some events. St Louis should be a given but its the weekend before our spring tourney. NO looks like it might be the same weekend of our fall tourney but still need to set schedule.
Lost_Sage- We definitely enjoyed playing with this style of play and ball vs. the South Florida tournament. In fact, these are the type of tournaments that we will look to play in the future. Flying V- The Georgia tournament is not a very good possibility for us in June. Our end of season tournamen...
FUCK, I just wrote a long ass review and hit preview only to be asked to login. Review lost. Forgot to command+C. Short version. Umped their Whiskey Richard game. Talked to tall first baseman at Hard Rock. MUSA is a 3 bounce pitch league. They make fun of guys who bunt. They could kick well and had...
iB did not play these guys, but they were a surprise 2nd seed going into eliminations. Its always interesting to see a team come out of nowhere and perform admirably in pool play and as a frequent poster on here, I am curious to hear about this squad. Again, I did not play against them nor did I ha...
Would be nice to see us getting together 1-2 availables teams ... 1 tending more competitive, and 1 being more recreational. Maybe that would make the natives less restless? I always encourage any tourney to try and recruit out-of-town teams (regardless of skill level). It gets folks hooked on the ...
Haha...yeah, I think it's in Milwaukee. This is all I could find: 7. What exactly is the Golden Lunchbox? Used to be back in the day that the best way to show your stuff on the playground was carrying that THE top notch hunk of metal to safely protect your lunchtime viddles. The Golden Lunchbox pay...
Can we have an availables team? I gotta think about this. Generally we have extended and invite to a different league vs just having a mish mosh from all over the place. Would this be considered a kickball365 team or ??? I know it sounds silly, but I am just considering some of the angles of pissin...
It's obvious that some of you know more about this than I...but for others who are just as confused: Where is this? Oopsie, they are correct that it is in Milwaukee. And it can get a bit chilly here. I think the temps have ranged from as nice to 65 to as crappy as 23 for one of the finals a few yea...
Can this be an "availables" team that goes to this? I'd love to try out the game with the smaller ball. It'd be really tough to get an actual team out to this less than a month after going to Vegas, but if enough individuals were interested, would that be ok? Would this be representing a ...
If any teams are interested in trying some 8.5 ball, MUSA has been happy to invite out of towners to our Golden Lunchbox tourney. The tourney is typically 46-56 team single elimination featuring all of our Gold division teams along with standard level top two teams and wild cards to round out the fi...
Congrats to the Superdudes! Also, FYI, since the Golden Lunchbox is the highest title in the MUSA pantheon, that gives them an automatic bid to Circuit Cup in October ... so if the Superdudes would like to make the trip to Vegas to compete, they're eligible! What is the criteria from a yearly champ...
MUSA is happy to announce the Superdudes have won their 3rd Golden Lunchbox in yesterdays 22nd version of the tourney with an 8-0 beat down of upstarts Bear Balls. Coming up through the tougher side of the 44 team bracket, the Dudes got plenty of tests from other solid teams such as Prestige Worldwi...
Yeah I can't imagine playing with a 8.5" ball. My 3rd baseman is 6'8", and the 10" WAKA ball looks like a grapefruit in his hand already. Giving him a tennis ball to fire at my 1st baseman just sounds dangerous. I'll pick one up, though. Sounds like it'd be good practice, especially ...
MUSA has played 8.5 ball for all but one season in our 10 years but we play primarily on softball diamonds. We are currently using 8.5 Badens for league play but go with Tachikara's for your Premium Draft league which is open pitch. The verdict is still out on whether we switch to the new Badens as ...
Most people bunt in our league, not because it's hard to kick, but because a kicked ball is too easy to catch. If you eliminated bunting from competitive kickball, all games would end in a 0-0 tie. Kickball is very different from softball and baseball. The aerodynamics of the ball requires a smalle...
Howdy. Checking interest out there if competitive teams round these parts would be open to playing a tourney with rules other than those of the Circuit or WAKA with the largest difference use of an 8.5 ball vs 10. We would likely be using rules similar to your Premium Draft summer league rules with ...
Actually I agreed with everything except c. The fields that are picked for the tourneys are huge and open. You have no back stop or fence to stop a ball that is thrown or deflected. So I would say that you need to have a field limitation (example 30 feet beyond the foul line) then the ball is dead....
It's 2 bounce kickball. Stop popping it up to the infield. If you do this in competitive kickball, you deserve the double out against your team. Fucking noob. We play 8.5 inch balls so for the league with open pitch you can see some nasty stuff. Not sure what kinda jizz pitchers are putting on the ...
MUSA broke away from possesion to first touch by the defense for catches and it has cut out the BS from the D and made it easier on the umps. The onus is on the D to make the play cuz once the ball is touched by the D, its live for the runners.
So no desire for contrarian views on why it can work in league play? I think some of the arguments against it dont hold water potentially i.e. umps not knowing the rules. For these tournies arent we going to try and have refs familiar with the rules? A lack of an infield fly allows an easy way for ...
I don't think it would be a complicated rule for refs to call. In baseball, there is no defined infield zone for calling an infield fly. I believe the rule simply states that an infielder must be able to make the catch with "routine effort." I still think the rule is unnecessary, though. ...

1) Teams need to have a pre-determined rank prior to the tournament (no more random-draw pools). 2) Points for the tournament need to be based on how many ranked/watch-listed teams register. The tougher the competition in the tournament, the harder it is to make it deep in that tourney. Those teams...
...Example Format to follow: [*] Points are awarded to each team in the following manner: the winning event receives 50 points, 2nd place 40, 3rd place 30... I like this system, but I'd adjust it to a weighted one based of number of teams participating. Say for every team that is in the tournament ...
What leagues have the most people, besides WAKA, that we would attract from to look at their books? BLK? StLouis? etc....? Anyone... Bueller? I think MUSA would be the next largest, at least for leagues that are spread out through out several states. MUSA is roughly 300+ teams each fall and spring ...
Most people play WAKA and it's the biggest kickball organization in the country. It makes sense to join forces with them. And, yes, we want to do exactly that. However, we're looking past WAKA with this idea. Outside of the WAKA-bubble there are a TON of kickball tournaments growing that will chall...
Have generally been a lurker on here with some posts, but chiming in on some interest with this concept. As stated by others, there are a lot of other different ways to play the game thoughout the different leagues. The ways these leagues are set it is a mix of different experiences, perhaps facilit...
