The ironic thing is that I had a conversation with jpw sometime during pool play and he told me that he was told that one of the refs in a different pool said they refused to call catcher encroachment bc they were too busy calling balls and strikes. Jpw told me if he found out who it was he wouldn't...

I had suggested for awhile that the circuit, event manager or whoever ask teams on byes or when teams get eliminated to be that ref to look for encroaching on the catcher. I volunteered my services for god knows how many tourneys and I wasn't asked once. Perfect example of encroachment... 25:00 min...

That just seems ridiculous as a reason to get a card, unless your taunting is holding up a game for a long period of time.

I know the ref situation would be the issue, but why couldn't the 3rd base ref watch to make sure the OF aren't starting in front of the line? The main issue you're trying to stop is essentially having the OF playing on top of the infield.

Understood. I'm not suggesting it will move girls up in lineup, but that their role from an offensive and defensive standpoint will be increased. Think about how many times a girl has kicked a nice hard liner and you look up and the outfielder is standing in a spot there's no way they would have got...

Correct Red... Total of 6 in infield including pitcher and catcher, with at least 2 girls at all times (doesn't matter which of the 6 infield positions they are at) The line in the OF prevents defense from creeping up on the infield when girls are at bat.

I think you guys are looking at the female involvement in the wrong way... It doesn't matter how many or where you bat the girls...
