As someone who gets walked a fair amount and hates it, I'd hate this rule even more. This is just part of the game I saw a lot of teams use intentional walks on Saturday to better defend against certain situations. Should there be a limite on the number of intentional walks a team can use in one gam...

Joe and Beil were spot on all tourney. Bill was either able to drop 1st base bunts to advance them or even get on himself leaving 2nd and 3rd or bases loaded. SDuncan I know this happened to you by one of my teammates in CCC and he and I exchanged words about it. I hate any slide into first and I have been told by many a circuit ref that the players diving into first head first are allowed to otuch the inside bag. In NYC your team was doing it like crazy...

I might be in the minority, but I love the idea of only 8 making it out. It does two things: 1) it makes every game matter. EVERY loss is huge now, and 2) it shortens the day so we can all party sooner! I wish all tournaments were structured like this. Under the typical 16 team elimination bracket ...

About the same as Jellydogg. 40-50 seasons and probably about 20 tourneys. Assuming 8-10 game seasons plus at least 2-3 playoff games per season + 6-8 games per tourney + random pick-up games where teams needed a player....yeah, I've played a lot of games

Haha... just goes to show I'm getting old. I had to go back and look at the video again to remember that I was the one catching against LIU. Forgot we played you all in Pool Play and not Elims. Regional protection has probably gone a bit too far. It started as a way to keep teams from the same league/division from having to play each other in pool when they travel. I'd still prefer to keep that if possible, but it doesn't really make sense to separate teams that never play each other just...
