Now that Gym Class All Stars has brought on some new star-power to their roster, can anyone unseat them for the division championship?

Mo' Tussin has folded up shop for the winter, and will probably be back in the spring in full force, so that is one less obstacle for GCAS to overcome. However, the remnants of MT that can play will be playing with Recess All Stars. Will that be enough to push an already good RAS team over the top? We shall see.

Playground Menaces are back, and possibly merged with Play With Me (did this happen, or am I starting rumors?). If this did indeed happen, this could potentially be a formidable challenger to the division crown.

Three Way and Looking to Score are probably the 4th/5th best teams in the division. Both are capable of upsetting one of the teams ahead of them.

Does anyone know anything about Smurfs or Show Us Your Hits? These might be 2 new teams, or mergers of several groups. Not sure if they are here to drink or here to ball. We'll find out this week.

The real question is what are the odds of the DCMD leadership moving GCAS games on FC weekend? We couldn't even get DC Liberty to move them and we were playing as Los Otros in the league!

Depends on how they do the schedule. With 7 teams, if they do bye weeks, I don't see why that couldn't be your bye week. Of course, with 7 teams, I'd rather we played double headers.

If OSC and IB joined this division, it'd be one of the best divisions in the country.

and The Others? And Recess Raiders (Reduxed or not)? And MBA? etc. etc. etc.

Even without the shared OSC/IB players on GCAS, GCAS would resemble Team Awesome from Dominion. That'd easily make 6 or 7 very solid teams in the division.

We need JC to make the trip up from VA Beach again. He pitched one heck of a game.

OSC is doing the Thursday night adams morgan league. Maybe we can have a GCAS v. OSC title bout at some point?

Worst fields in the world. It still boggles my mind why people would play there intentionally.

My guess is 1) proximity to the bar, and 2) maybe the players already have Hep B, so no need to worry about needles.

You may be right on both counts, in which case they should probably just sign up for a beer drinking league, because picking out shards of glass from your flesh is nobody's idea of fun.

Hey now...for those of us who started their kickball careers at Marie Reed AND conveniently live within walking distance, that hellacious field will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Glad to see that DCMD cancelled games the Sunday of FC weekend.

And we get to the play the Monument Cup on Halloween. Bring your costumes to the field!

I'd rather see the Monument Cup stay on Nov 7th (since that's a Redskins bye week... not that I care, but for some reason people in DC like that team). I do really hate the fact that DCMD posts the schedule as one thing while you're registering, then changes it to something else.

Irish Times is 50 minutes. So basically I've limited myself to playing in MD or Mall divisions that drink at the Times.

The week 2 battle of the all-stars proved to be not quite up to all the hype. Gym Class All Stars thoroughly trounced the Recess All Stars. Not sure what the score was, but this game was over after 2 innings. RAS failed to score a run at all, and I'm sure GCAS was well into double-digits.

That final inning display featuring Eddie and Jason was just a microcosm of what GCAS did to RAS on the day. Should these teams meet again in the playoffs, hopefully it'll be a tad bit closer.
