Charlotte kickball is dead, but Vegas kickball is the new hotness (pun intended). It's definitely not Ultra, but it's way better than Charlotte. Couple competent teams and a couple not. Tonight we played the latter. Let me fast forward to the fourth inning where McNugget is leading off and we have built up a healthy 7-0 lead. Solid bunt down three, no throw but the charger holds it. McNugget rounds, 3b tries to peg him, ball sails into the outfield and not only does he get the bhr he gets a slip and slide after he crosses home. I think some of our teammates thought I scored because I was so happy. I will have to let him confirm the hj, but everyone on our team knows that bhr=hj, so they better have taken care of business.

Had one tonight. Kicker bunts the ball foul, never in fair territory. Half way up it hits a bump and rolls fair. Charger walks over and tosses it back to me. Home Ref screams fair ball. Kicker even walks back to the plate. I tell him its a foul ball. He said, "look where it is." I explain to him that once its foul its foul. "Well I don't have the fucking rule book tattooed to my leg."

btaylor - a player on my team came across this post and sent it my way so I spent 2 1/2 hours of my life reading through it and I'm not even mad...very entertaining. At times I felt I was reading pages from Tucker Max. I wish I would've come across this a couple months earlier though.

I'm the pitcher and captain of Hold My Beer and champs of 3 out of the past 4 seasons of this league who you referenced watching back in an April thread. It sounds like you were on Angry Beavers last season, and I don't blame you for being angry. Unfortunately we never crossed paths and I didn't play your team or ref your team at all. Looking back, you guys had a very soft schedule and also didn't play the other top team in our league, 99 Problems. I really think that between our team and 99 Problems, we could field a competetive circuit team. We just need to introduce the circuit to the right people to gain enough support, and I already have a least a few on board.

It sounds like you may be back in Charlotte soon. If so, let me know. Until then, I'll be doing what I can to spread the bhr=hj word around the league.

You should combine and field a team for the Virginia Beach event in 5 weeks. That's not too far of a drive from Charlotte and would be an easy way for all of your players to see what the traveling scene is all about.

Hold my beer is the red team right? Unfortunately, you are correct, we didn't get to play either of the teams that I would even consider average. I talked to your third baseman (your brother?) about traveling and about Founders Cup and he seemed up to the idea, but then I never really saw your team again. I talked to the 1b from the green team several times about trying to get a team to the Atlanta tournament, but it never happened.

I'm only supposed to be in Vegas for six months, then I'll be back in Charlotte, so try to get the good word of the circuit spreading and I'll do the same when I get back. There's a tournament in Boston next month, that should be great, see if you can round some people up for that. More importantly, get people practicing their bhr. I had about 7 bunt triples in that season and just never could seal the deal.

Welcome to the boards and get some other people from Charlotte on here; it's the easiest way to get people motivated to travel.

Yeah we were red. The 3b isn't my brother..you're thinking of the twins. The green team (99 Problmes) got the invite to Founders so I'm joining their team for that tourney and so is the 3b from my team you talked to since we lost a good amount of people from last year's team.

We've actually been talking about putting a team together for the VA Beach tourney next month but it happens to be on the same day as our WAKA EOS tourney. There's a chance rainouts could push that though. I watched the pitcher for 99 Problems get a bhr just last night. No hj last night, but they all know about it now.

On a side note, I just turned the Olympics on and pretty sure I saw Marc Gasol playing indoor volleyball for Brazil.

A player from Jagernauts in VA-Peninsula got one a couple seasons ago. High line drive to first that he jumped up and caught, tagged the guy out who had stepped off first and then chased the girl trying to tag up from second down and tagged her.

Just so you guys know...I play in a very crappy city rec league on thursday nights where I had a bunch of friends that just wanted to try kickball so we put a team together....I managed to get a bunt triple last week. We play the same team first round of the tournament on Tuesday.....I'm going to try to see if I can get a bunt home run!!! If it happens, I should totally get the girl's equivalent to a hand job....has it been decided what that is yet????

So I got my first ever BHR last Thursday! For anyone on here who knows me, that's a particularly difficult feat for me (not because I suck at bunting, but) because I'm a kicker and don't usually have the opportunity to bunt. We were playing the team that won our league last summer, so they definitely aren't terrible. But it pretty much went like everyone has said it would have to go for it to work. There was an overthrow at first, so I turn two, and on my way to second the first baseman tries to throw it at me. As I'm already turning to go three, the girl drops it and bounces into right field. As I reach third I see that the ball hasn't made it back to the infield yet, so I turn to go home and beat the throw in from the picture. I immediately begin letting everyone on the sidelines know that I am owed an HJ for my BHR.

It was just as amazing as I'd always imagined it would be.

I had a homerun last night on a groundball to second. Technically it wasn't a bunt, but it never left the infield. As soon as I get to the sideline mcnuggest says "its a shame that wasn't a bunt otherwise you'd be gettin a handjob right now".

The ball never left the infield should i have been entitled to a hj?

How did you make it to second if that's where you kicked the ball?

Yup. Plus it's far more difficult to accomplish with no runners on base.

Runners on second and third. Guy on second goes home, they throw at him. I make a wide turn at second and I slip. They try to peg me, miss, I go to third. On my way to third they try to peg me, i dodge it. I go for home, they try to peg me, i dodge that and as sure as zaks pants coming off at a tournament, I've just kicked a three run infield homerun.

Interestingly, we won 4-3. The winning run was scored on a bases loaded tag up. Pop fly to the third baseman about 5 feet in front of third base and about 2 feet in foul territory. Wrap your head around that one....

Screw this ako news. I finally got my bhr. It resulted in a pee pee touch in the parking lot. It was everything I dreamed it could be. Girl was holding the ball at first, ran right past her. She throws to a girl at second, I run right past her. I round third and dodge the throw at home. Keep running, yelling for lotion and a hj!!

A. I didn't want to read through again but apparantely I owe an HJ to someone. I need to settle my debt....

B. In my first season of WAKA in 2010 I had my first bhr. Needless to say it must have been REALLY well done because I got a full on blow j in our parking spot (she was a whore). There were shades of an HJ though, not to get off point.

On a more positive note, we did win 2-1, my teammates seemed pretty cool and there's a lot of really hot girls in this league.

So you were responsible for both runs on very unconventional base-running maneuvers? Looks like you might need a cooler of hunch punch to make it through the rest of the season.

Challenge for next week: The Bunt home run. This is possible by making a hard left at first base no matter where the ball is. You'll most likely need to matrix dodge a throw at 2nd but if you get past that you're almost home free. Regain momentum and head for third with a head of steam. There's a slight chance you may get caught in a pickle between 3rd and home, if so run at the guy with the ball and do a somersault. This works 100% of the time and they will throw over you. At this point you'll be able to walk home as your team mates wait to huddle over you in joy.

Don't be shocked when one of the girls is giving you a HJ at the bottom of the pile, this is totally normal.

That girl will later become your wife.

Bump for Dice. Until I saw the sit/stand thread this was the single greatest post I'd ever read

On a better note (only from admins perspective) a guy from charlotte contacted me and he will be playing on an availables team in boston. Couple that with the founders cup team that is interested in a circuit tourney and we might hqve squeezed one competitive team from the queen city!!

You can follow the Panik Attack- Atlanta parody account I have going on, on Facebook right now.

It's a Sunday Funday team that's apparently ruining peoples experiences on Sunday.

By that I mean the "Good" teams now have competition and are mad a group of brash drunks are raining on their parade.

Nothing behind it... just looking to spice things up around here. We thought about being Whiskey Richard or Meatballs, but both black and yellow were taken. Just figured it'd be funny to represent a Circuit Team in Atlanta. Since we're all such close friends with the people on Panik, we thought they might think it was special. I know Trey enjoys the attention ;)

Roster is made up of people across (6) teams that regularly play on weekdays of GoKickball. From Flying V is Me, Schulte, Joe K., Alex, Bridgette and Olivia, so (3) guys and (3) girls... (2) of us being couples.

I'm sure you and Joe make a cute couple

Get it right BTaylor. O'Keefe's taken. I'm working on scheduling their union at the state house for Friday AM.

Oh crap, I had forgotten to post in here about my bunt home run last Friday. I had to dodge a peg at home, but the goal was achieved.

On the next play, my brother gets a kick home run on a liner that rolled out through RCF. Doh!
