Hmm.. photobucket is blocked at work.

It's weird how my original Sprite girl was not blocked - but whatever it us that you posted is.

Well, i'm home now. But my cell phone is left in my car whilst at work.

sadly, no! and i don't even have my usual music to keep me company because i keep forgetting the external hard drive at home!

looks like they're bringing over the inmates* to help us move next saturday.

*not kidding, real inmates. the detention center is across the street and when we need heavy stuff moved, they get some of the minimum security guys that have been on good behavior to come help us. we make sure they're supervised but it's still a little weird to me.

No joke. One of my co-workers mistakenly asked permission to hookup headphones to his computer. They sent him through a whole red-tape process where he needed to submit a work request and technicians need to come to "install" them.

that's pretty impressive. see what you get for asking permission? sheesh! if i asked permission every time i needed to kick off my shoes and climb up on my desk, i'd never get anything done!

wait... what? nevermind.

i was once told i was not allowed to wear headphones because 1) it was against policy 2) i had to be able to answer the phones 3) it was rude to my co-workers 4) i had to listen in case someone came to the front door of the office 5) they needed to know what i was doing/listening to.

At my last job I had music and headphones. It was nice to drown out the noise around me. When I switched jobs, I never bothered to bring my personal music into work.

i have 26+ gb of mp3's at home. at one point i had brought them in and put them on my work computer, and had whittled it down to about 17 gb of music that i actually liked and was work appropriate-ish. then my computer died and had to be rebuilt and i didn't feel like going through that process all over again so i put it on an external hard drive and i just use take out of itunes whichever ones i don't want to play at work. great theory as long as i remember to bring the hard drive back after the weekend.

Hmm.. the lack of Active | New Posts links is kinda annoy. Especially after a post. Thankfully I have firefox, and can just drop-down the back button and head back to the New Posts page.

That's not that bad of an idea. That's actually how I browse the site on my phone. It's quicker to reload the bookmark than scroll up or down the page looking for the Active/New Posts links.

Oh - no one made the comment that Admin put the site back to blue! I like the blue better.

There's studies out there that describe the psychological effects of website background colors. Green is one of those weird colors that don't really go well.
