Updated August 13, 2012

Following strong participation in 2011, The Circuit expands to include new tournaments and a new location for The Circuit Cup Championship

The National Tour of The Circuit will once again get underway in Ft. Lauderdale this February as teams from across the United States set their sights on The Circuit Cup and cash prizes at each tournament stop along the way. The Circuit, which in 2011 had over 1500 participants competing in over eight tournaments across the country, will this year expand to include sixteen (16) tournaments to offer the largest set of competitive kickball tournaments in the world.

The Circuit will maintain its same format in 2012, awarding points to teams who compete in official Circuit Cup events across the country. Those points earned will be used to determine the seeding for the true ultimate championship at the conclusion of the year, the Circuit Cup Championship presented by Complete Discovery Source (http://www.cdslegal.com). The Champion of the Circuit Cup will win $10,000 and the top sixteen (16) teams will also receive cash prizes.

“We had a very strong year in 2011 and have high expectations in 2012,” said Matthew Kemph, Founder/CEO of Kickball365. “Kickball is infectious, and once you get a taste of competitive kickball on The Circuit, teams want to come back for more. Beyond just the competition, each destination along the way to The Circuit Cup Championship offers something unique, so no two tournaments are ever the same. 2012 looks to be our biggest year yet. We’ve got a lot of great things planned and we can’t wait to get started.”

The official schedule for The National Tour is as follows:
February 18 - Ft. Lauderdale, FL
March 24 - Los Angeles, CA
April 21 - Austin, TX
May 12 - Albuquerque, NM
May 19 - Jacksonville, FL
June 2 - St. Louis, MO
June 9 - Harrisburg, PA
June 16 - Atlanta, GA
July 7 - San Diego, CA
July 14 - Washington, DC
August 11 - New York City, NY
August 18 - San Francisco, CA
September 8 - Virginia Beach, VA
September 15 - Chandler, AZ
September 22 - Boston, MA
November 11 - New Orleans, LA

“We’re also very excited to announce the location of the 2012 Circuit Cup Championship presented by CDS Legal, which this year will be held in New Orleans on November 8-11th weekend,” said Kemph. “We’re very committed to providing unique vacation experiences to all of the players on The Circuit. After careful deliberation, New Orleans offered us the perfect blend of space needed to host our year-end tournament and nightlife and attractions available close-by that players and families can enjoy.”

Congrats to Kickball 365 on putting together an incredible schedule for 2012! I'm curious as to why the St. Louis team does not participate any longer...did something happen to turn them off of circuit kickball? I remember seeing them at a couple tournaments a couple years back and now they seem pretty adamant about not participating. kind of unfortunate as I remember them being a good team

It is really an odd response. Why come on the board and say that? The guy is clearly on the web why not Facebook or tweet it if his league doesn't promote others.

I think the issue with the big balls is that they didn't like how some tournaments ask players to ref 1B. I can see that being an issue, but I hope they give the circuit another chance because that was in the early days of the circuit.

Did any tourneys in 2011 require players to ref? I only went to two (VBKO and DC) and I don't recall any there.

i know in 2009 players had to ref at sfko and in 2010 we were 1 ref short at tko and had to have players cover 1 field. i think last year we were short on 1 field in new york? maybe? we were short at vbko last year when 5 refs didn't show up that had said they were going to, but we managed to grab volunteers so players didn't have to (sorry, donna!).

Rockstar will shoot to be at Florida, DC (duh), Va Beach, and maybe Harrisburg, Boston, or NYC.

And of course... N'awlins.

Myself, i'll try to at least come ref the ones I can't play in. Anyone wanna give me a place to stay in Atlanta, Austin, and the rest?

yes very strange, unless its because St Louis doesnt feel like they can compete on the circuit then i dont see why they wouldnt be interested. Not like St Louis kickball and the circuit are in competition w each other.....

There are a few leagues across the nation who, for some reason, feel threatened by The Circuit. Its not like they are trying to create a similar entity. I know some leagues have other national scale ideas in mind, but one would think, they'd all be onboard for competitive kickball of The Circuit's nature, especially when we're trying to incorporate every league's rules and such.

It's funny because a while back that's all they did was promote how awesome their "all-star" traveling team was. You'd think they'd be amped up to have a Circuit tourney in their home town.

I'm sure they have their reasons though. Whatever.

NYC was considerably short refs. My field had a 1B player-ref for each pool game and maybe even the first playoff game.

I am 98% sure the other two fields that were on the same soccer field had the same situation.

This sounds like a team that would rather not let other teams that think they are Gods realize they are no better then 10th against other top teams... They don't want their league to know there are plenty of teams way better then them cause they will lose their superman persona.... Sounds like they are just facing the facts that they know they can't win, so like Dice kickball, they will just stick to beating people that are playing to have fun while they are the only "serious" team... I bet their captain is a chick
