DC is aware of this weird phenomenon because Elliot in the Morning talked about it all week. In fact, the radio hosts themselves got iced on the stage at DC101's Chilli Cookoff this weekend.

One drunken night 2 summers ago (coincidentally when I started playing kball and at the top of my HYPE!) I decided that I was so manly that I could drink a Smirnoff Ice and still be a man. This became a huge joke with my friends back home to the point where we would show up to parties with 6 packs of it and on the first comment declare how much of a man you are. We got so carried away that we created a drink named "Shanzies" which is half Bud Light half Smirnoff Ice. This went on all summer 08 until it tailed off that winter. There's still flare ups every now and again. I'm definitely going to get this website going once a get home!

yeah but i think there are some pretty strict laws to discourage alcohol companies from encouraging irresponsible drinking. supposedly there are images on the site of people getting iced while driving a car, and other no-no activities. it'd be brilliant if smirnoff thought it up, or if their ad company did, but if it ever got out that they did make it they'd be pretty fuct i think.
