Question about DC

Ok...since everyone seems so smart on here!!!

My friends and i are going to the preseason Steeler/Skins game. We are kind torn about where to stay/get there. We have the option of staying in Chantilly & riding with friends (knowing they will get irritating and want to bail in the 3rd) or stay in a hotel & take the metro to the game? can you take the metro.....anyway a little help

Yes, you can take the metro. Blue line to Morgan Blvd is the closest stop is about a mile walk to the stadium. I've done this before and it wasn't too bad and you will be walking with a lot of other people heading to the game. As for hotels... not sure since I don't normally get a hotel, just stay with people in the area.

yea i normally would but they live in chantilly & one of the girls is going to "go" so she will get hammerred and we will have to babysit and leave early. i dont leave in the 3rd. i love going to games and like to get my moneys worth. think the metro it is!!! haha thanks

Drink as much as possible before you go in... everyone will be tailgating and drinking in the parking lot and I think you can walk all the way up to the stadium entrance before you have to throw your beer in the trash. Beer is like $8 once you get inside. And don't bring a bag that you want to keep, you have to leave it outside. You might get lucky and it be there when you get out, but they start throwing them in the trash once the game is over and they do it pretty quick. I learned this the hard way!

Although I do feel like a traitor now giving a Steelers fan advice to come into Fedex field! haha, jk. Steelers are the AFC team I cheer for when the Redskins don't make it to the playoffs each season.

and i support the skins when they are not playing the steelers. i have always wanted to go to FedEX. i love heinz field but FedEx is the largest staduim in the NFL (thats still true right?) and i really like going to different sports complex to just check it out!!!

It was until Dallas built their new stadium that will open this season. Of all teams that had to build a bigger stadium than FedEx, it had to be Dallas...

I would get a hotel and take the metro. You can take the metro and you WILL NOT have to walk anywhere. There are metro buses that run throughout the game and drop you off at the front door of FEDEX field.

I thought they stopped doing the shuttles 1-2 years ago? i didn't see them when I went last year. Everyone was walking to and from...

hahaha! Did I hear that someone was trying to walk w/ their GPS? The Meatballs admitted that they laughed more this trip then in Vegas, for the record. Shelander and I make people funnier (we are funny enforcers)
