MD Fire Week 9 Preview

Postby Festa » September 29th, 2009, 10:10 am

This week the Scheduling Gods have smiled upon us. What we essentially have is in bowling terms a "Position Week"

For non-bowlers: A position week is where #1 plays #2, #3 plays #4 and so forth.

#1 HTKC vs #2 Rubber Balls
HTKC has mathematically locked up the first seed. For normal teams, this would be a meaningless games, but for HTKC, a loss would leave an unacceptable blemish on their perfect season. There's about a 99% chance RBNL will forfeit flipcup.

#3 Shockers vs #4 Munt This
Great Game. Both teams are tied at 3-4-1. Get this. Their tie - is against each other. Go figure. Depending on when the playoffs happen, this could be the Shockers last game, so look for them to go all in. There's about a 99% chance the Shockers will forfeit flipcup.

#5 Uncle Jesse vs #6 Booze on First
How in the world did Uncle Jesse get above Booze on First in the standings? Both teams are tied at 2-6. BoF won in their last meeting. Look for BoF to finally live up to their potential and sweep Uncle Jesse. This will also be a good flip-cup matchup. But I think BoF will get the upset on the table. Uncle Jesse will be saving their A game for the flipcup playoffs.

Good luck tonight. A good chunk of HTKC will be absent tonight for the game. Some little Irish band is playing at FedEx Field.

Why is the flip cup standings not in any noticeable order?
CT-Ivy Summer 10 1UCK
Saguaro Winter 11 Safety Pullout
AZ-Fire Winter 11 Spring 12 Whiskey Richard
AZ-Victory Spring 13 Ninja Turtle Swag

I can't think of anything else to say but, "It's MD Fire".

example:

Q. Why haven't we had a division party yet (week 9)?

A. It's MD Fire.
