Hi folks -- WAKA asked us to post this link to its series of videos of the championship game between Los Otros and BCB (complete with commmentary!). Here's the link to the Youtube playlist:

I saw one mistake on offense and one on defense unless I missed something else.

The reffing looked horrible. Shouldn't you at least know the rules if you are going to ref the championship game?

Not really, most of their plays at first came from catcher or pitcher.

I only watched the first two clips, but the game was tied 1-1. Why is everyone trying to say how horrible BCB was?

Looked like a typical matchup between good teams to that point. BCB's pitching wasn't bad at all and I know that their catcher definintely was injured
in the last inning of our game right before because they pulled him.

Don't underestimate how exhausted everyone was by that point of the night.
Well, the teams that advanced that far at least

Nevertheless we shouldn't have lost a game we were up 4-1 in late innings. Inexcusible.

My thoughts....

The announcers are kinda tools...but had some good comments...like saying the others were a "allstar team"...haha

The others

Others bunted great..n there girls looked real solid...def should have score 4 runs...that dude foulded out with a runner at 3rd less than 2 outs...also the others made 2 bad base running mistakes getting thrown out at home twice...wilner pitched 42 innings is just plain retarted...I can't even fathem doing that...what's his work out routine?..let me know...overall they play solid...

BCB

Pitchers was decent..but he was real good fielder off the mound...but they made a lot of stupid mistakes....#1 they let 2 balls drop that should have beem caught...in the 1st inning( I think) and when bill kicked in that run...#2 first off bills ball should have beem caught...but then to let bill even goto to 2nd and then peg him out and let the run score...that was bad....but the worst play was in the bott of 5 when the BCB leadoff got to 2nd with 0 out...he then gets thrown out at third!! Are u serious?!?...that was awful!!...overal there defense didn't make the routine plays...there pitcher was ok...they had real good kickers and there girl look solid...

Watching this really frustrated me cause I know we were just as good if not better than other and def a lot better than bcb...but congrats to both teams and to waka for doing something cool

I'd just like to come to the defense of refs. I reffed all the way from pool through semis with one game off. When you all are sitting on the side lines between kicks resting they're still having to focus on every play. I was freaking exhausted mentally by the end of pool play. I was asked to ref either semis or finals but there was not a chance in hell of me taking the finals on my first trip out there. I don't envy those guys at all.

Watching the video I'd say the refs for the finals did a pretty good job. there were a couple instances where the home plate ref was calling strikes when the ball didn't bounce twice before the plate, but that's about it.

Totally... it was the first time ever I can remember a routine fly ball coming right at me and thinking "holy crap, I might not catch this."
