I heard that for seeding they are going to weigh in playoff wins more heavily for the tournament. Like in a 16 team division a team can have 4 playoffs wins whereas an 8 team division the winner will have 3. Did they do this last year? How exactly will seeding work?

Unfortunately they didn't have any questions about seeding on the annual WAKA CTR Program quiz. Get certified!

From WAKA Championship Guidlines - http://www.kickball.com/files/WAKA_World_Championship_Guidelines_2009.pdf
FOUNDERS CUP WORLD KICKBALL CHAMPIONSHIP RANKING
Participating teams shall be seeded according to their Combined Win Percentage, derived from the Regular
Season and Division Tournament Win-Loss-Tie-Forfeit (WLTF) records for the season in which they qualified.
(See WAKA Division Tournament Guidelines for details.)
If two or more teams have identical Combined Win Percentages, the following steps will be taken until a winner is
determined:
1) The team with the better Division Tournament Record for the qualifying season receives the higher rank.
· In the case of Division Champions, a greater number of Division Tournament Wins is considered better.
2) If criteria #1 results in a tie, the team with the lowest Combined Average Runs Allowed (total runs allowed
in regular season and Division Tournament, divided by total number of games played) receives the higher
rank.
3) If criteria #2 results in a tie, WAKA officials will play out a best 2 out of 3 ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ to make
the final determination.

Teams with a legit shot at winning aren't worried about their seed.

i think the concern is for some people is they dont to get stuck in the situation that Screw the Team Had being #4 seed and having eventual champ Frosty Balls in the pool....last year we had two San Fran teams in our pool and they both came from the same division...which is retarted that that would happen....i do know that Riff Raff n Balls Deep will prob being the #2 teams in there respective pool....so it will suck whoever gets them...but i guess u could say it doesnt matter when u beat em if u r gonna win

Make it Rain and Frosty Balls will likely be the #2 seed in their brackets as well. It doesn't matter where you're seeded. If you're good enough to win, you have to beat the best of the best anyways.

the asian pitcher (orange team) from one of those san fran teams is now a member of Lock It Up. He was bitching about how he had to play a team from his own division.

Frosty is missing their ONLY Catcher for the tournament. They don't have a single person on their roster that has ever played a meaningful game at Catcher.

Possibly, but they'll be a 14-16 seed. There are too many teams from crappy divisions that go undefeated and win their tournament that'll be going to Vegas.

To summarize:

A team that absolutely runs the table in a 16-team division and tournament will get the highest theoretical seed (4 tourney wins). If there are multiple such teams, then runs against average breaks that tie.

Plenty of teams not on our "favorites" or "sleepers" radar screen will still run the table in less than 16-team divisions and tourneys and will secure higher seeds (definitely a few in the first seed line) based on this, with: (a) size of tourney brackets (anyone in 8-15 team brackets have advantages over those in 4-7 team brackets), then (b) runs against average likely breaking those ties.

The usual suspects as far as "favorites or "sleepers" may still have a tie or loss on their records in power conferences, whether in regular season and/or tourney play (the latter usually hurt more, because tourney wins are essentially the second tiebreaker after win %). Since this eats into win percentage, that likely drops them into the second seed lines, given an anticipated low RAA (due to presumably more defensive games at the highest level) probably dictates a higher seed within these lines.
