JellyDogg wrote:I think giving the sponsor share was a nice gesture, as well as the plaques. I don't think McCoy made this decision in bad faith or anything like that. However, he was careless not to include everyone, which was disrespectful to those not included. Maybe since you were one of the ones asked for your input you don't get how demeaning it is to be left out. As if your opinion/thoughts don't matter to the team. You might as well say "It's ok, see, we asked all the important people on the team what they thought, and they all agreed. We didn't have time for your input." You also don't get that it's even MORE demeaning that 11 out of 14 people were asked, and you weren't one of them.

And, no, it's not as if the votes were already in. Everyone still had a chance to change their vote if persuaded by a contrary argument. Even if everyone else still voted the sponsor a share, they could have changed their vote to not having the share be paid out from the total pot, but only for those that agreed. Or perhaps it wouldn't have changed anything, but intentional or not it displays a total lack of respect to not ask certain players, and much worse than that to not even inform said players of a decision that affects them.

I don't like to chime in on these arguments very often, but JD makes a valid point. I have all respect for McCoy and if I was on the team and asked to vote, I would vote yes as well, but to not be a part of the voting process I would be upset. As adults, we very rarely like it when others make decisions for us. Hence the reason we are given the right to vote for president. Does everyone vote the same? No. But they still are given a chance to vote.

This may be a bad analogy, but even inmates who go into a parole hearing get a chance to have their voice heard before a decision is made.

Now can we please drop it and talk about other things, like Larry said. Winter? Who's playing? And for whom? Me personally I don't know what I am going to do. I want to play, but I'll probably end up signing on as a free agent and being placed on a team. Special Sauce only plays in Atlantic, AO is done, Third String has been cut, The Foot Clan went into rehab, and Chris Brown is no longer whooping up on Rihanna. Can I please find a competitive team that will stick together for a while?

All kidding aside, it is a little sad to see this thread but I learned stuff like this happens. Vegas was my first time playing against PA and I have to see you guys were the classiest competitive team I ever played against. The Meatballs are still my favorite team to watch but I was glad to see you guys get banged up in and still win it all in Vegas, so congrats.

Winter season? Last year DC Blizzard was all-too-literal. I wonder if they'll come back with it this year. I'd probably still play, 'cause I'm a sucker like that, but if we're snowed out for 2 months again that's gonna suck.

Back off. Circuit rules state a player can only play for a team located in the state the player lives in, or in a connecting District or Province. Sorry, I don't make the rules.

I couldn't help but sign up a K365 account and join in on my first post as well...

After being made aware that my team captain's integrity and character was being tested unfortunately and sadly by no one else other than former PANIK teammates, there was no way I couldn't stand up and defend him. One of the main reasons I went to Panik Attack was because I knew from the top of the line up to the bottom that it would be a team of class act individuals WITHOUT all the unnecessary drama. From the moment I met McCoy, I have had the utmost RESPECT and have always VALUED his opinion and I really do not know how anyone could think otherwise.

I am flabbergasted how anyone for one second would NOT want to give Doris an equal portion of the winnings; regardless if you were asked or not. There are decisions made on Panik all the time that I may not be included on, but I would never DOUBT the decision of my team for a second. I BELIEVE in MY captain and know that he has the ENTIRE team’s best interest in mind. I don’t even live in Virginia Beach and notice EVERYTHING she does for this team. She is not just a “sponsor” to us, not someone who we receive money on and sign a contract with and are done with. I don’t recall seeing a Chilled Ponds representative at EVERY road tournament with drinks/food/beer and most importantly the LOYAL SUPPORT she has for our team nor did I see Chilled Ponds get a $500 gift card.

If it is greed that drives your anger and not your personal feelings towards her or any other individuals, then to solve the issue on being “shorted” money, I can send you a check for the “portion” that you feel you deserve. I still have my winnings (which I didn’t even know WOULD BE MONEY TO BEGIN WITH) and would be more than happy to give it to you so this will no longer be an issue because the most important this is for DORIS to not feel that she deserves the money any less than the entire team.

As far as discussing this more, I will honor Larry’s wishes about dropping it because this IS an issue that should have been discussed with the individuals involved and not the entire Message Board. Extremely disappointing....
