Not inter-team disputes. Although with all the usual offseason kickball drama unfolding, I'm sure a lot of us would like to be privy to other teams' disagreements.

All I'm going to add is that even if someone cares about the majority and not the individuals on the team, it would've been nice to been told or informed of said decisions. Being apart of the team, I should have been informed of all decisions and not left to do the math that McCoy did for everyone just know, and then have to investigate where it all ended up. For all I knew the $500 could've been given to Eddie n George so they could get a room. :-bd

I agreed that the majority of the team should make the decision.

Also, I've never been a part of an inter-team fight on the MB. Don't make this my first, lady! :ympray:

I believe MB still owes Panik 1/3 of our money from NYC (put it on black). After we receive that check for $500, we'll mail your $235 check.

Nobody asked you to be a part of it...you got yourself involved...I wasn't talking to you or anyone in particular for that matter...just airing a grievance, which I am sure you have done on numerous occasions (to numerous to count, may I add) and I am not the only one with this grievance. Everything I have said on the MB I have said straight to McCoy. If I was complaining about the Meatballs, I am pretty sure you would have been ok with that.

None of this would have been said if disposition of the winnings of our team had been talked about and agreed upon before it happened. Being a team captain does not necessarily mean that is the best person to make sole decisions about team winnings. That should be decided beforehand. With the advent of cash prizes for kickball, the team is not just a team...it is a business. Spending money that is not yours to spend, as a captain, without the consent of ALLthe players, can definitely cause some issues. This is a subject that will affect many teams in the future and can make or break a team if its not handled properly. IMO, this is a subject that needs to be discussed. It is much more than signing up for a team, playing, trying to win and going home, now. Players invest a large amount of money to travel and much of their vacation time is used for this...what is done with the winnings, obviously, is important.

Sorry if I pissed you and McCoy off, Trey, but I have a right to my opinion just like you, and I don't get on the MB when you get stupid and call you out. Get over it.

is there a dispute about what McCoy laid out in his breakdown of the payment? If there is not, it seems like very little money is being argued over.

Yes, there is, there is a dispute over not discussing with the team the disposition of $850.00...$500.00 he gave back to a sponsor without talking to the whole team. Sponsors do not receive their money back...they get their advertising on your shirts and maybe a plaque, but not $500.00 of the teams winnings. What is the point of sponsoring you then? And btw, the sponsor was obtained by Larry. Larry was the co-captain and also was not informed about what was being done with the money. I guess he was just one of those "insignificant individuals".

I just find it funny to give a sponsor $500 when all the money she gives to the team and even the money she puts out to go to tournys with us, she writes off on her taxes. To be honest, I wouldn't have mind giving her a plaque but $500....come on! And to not be informed of this is a little ridiculous especially since I was apparently in the area when this decision was made but it was a majority so there was no reason to ask me what i thought, right? F that. I paid to be there and to be told my opinion and vote doesnt count, is really just not cool. That shit is what annoys me the most. It is not a team, its McCoys way or no way. He asks for our input but if you dont agree he has a Panik Attack!

I don't know who is staying with PA, lil Wilson played at FC and as soon as she voiced her opinion to him she was personally insulted...then she quit.

Several years ago I was in a cash prize fantasy football league. I was either 1st or 2nd going into the playoffs when I had several players on bye, and I lost in the first round. We kept playing through all 17 weeks, though, as we had several prizes. While I was eliminated from the biggest prize (league champion), I was still alive for highest scoring team prize as well as weekly prizes...

The following week I picked up a QB on waivers who had a good matchup. I was informed by the commish that I couldn't do that. When I asked why, he said it was because a majority of the league (mainly just the people he worked with) decided that week that only teams still alive in the playoffs were allowed to add/drop players. When I asked why I wasn't asked for my input, or even told of the decision, I was told there was no need to since a majority decision was already reached. Needless to say, I went apesh*t on him.

I was the only eliminated team still in the running for the highest scoring team prize, so it was no surprise that all the playoff teams plus the other eliminated teams didn't see a reason why any eliminated team would need to add players, as we were all "done." But the decision was made already, and most of the league members later said if they had better understood the situation, they would have voted a different way. Even if they had come to the same decision, at least they would have done so being fully informed of all the circumstances, and everyone would have known the decision and why it was made beforehand. That's why everyone impacted by a decision needs to be involved in the decision-making process.

Terri, Doris was much more than just a sponsor. She was as much a part of our team as you or me. She supported us at every tournament, provided a helping hand whenever we needed something during a game, arranged for hotels for many of our players, and went out of her way all the time to see that anything and everything we needed we got. McCoy, and the VAST majority of PA, thought that repaying her generosity was the least we could do. I'm sorry if you disagree that we should repay those that were so generous to our team, however the rest of us feel differently.

I understand your complaint that you weren't personally asked, but with the overwhelming majority of the team agreeing to do exactly what McCoy proposed, any and all objections would have made no difference.

Like I said before, this is not the place to air your dirty laundry. McCoy isn't retaliating by airing his grievances with you, so you should afford him the same respect.
If I say mean things to you and it hurts your feelings, f#ck you.

Just so everybody knows. 8 out 14 is a majority...and Nikki and Terri were the only two people that expressed to me that they didn't want to give Doris the money. I had more than 8 yes's at the field, so it was given to her. It was also Jays idea (I think) to give it to her then, not mine, but I agreed with it. As far as the remaining $235...I sent out a text as to what I thought we should do with it...once again, only Nikki and Terri didn't agree we should give Chilled Ponds and Doris plaques. Everybody else thought it was a cool idea. Hi Nikki :hai:

I went out of my way to give everyone cash. I took money out of my own account. I now have to deal with the gift cards. BTW, I still have the $235 and haven't gotten the plaques yet. Terri, you have seriously disrespected me. I apologize for everyone that has to read this crap. :puke:

Even if they had come to the same decision, at least they would have done so being fully informed of all the circumstances, and everyone would have known the decision and why it was made beforehand. That's why everyone impacted by a decision needs to be involved in the decision-making process.

Well put...if those people who agreed wanted to give their portion of their winnings up, fine..I have no problems with that...but they cannot speak for my portion of the winnings...that should be totally left up to me. If some of us did not want to be a part of it, our money should have been given to us, in full. In effect, a few people, made the decision how to spend my money and it isn't their place to do that.

This sounds word for word like something I read on Trey's FB page on election day.

I think the discussion went a little more like this, Terri:

Nikki to McCoy: "I'm an accountant, you're stealing money from the team."
McCoy to Nikki: "How dare you accuse me of stealing money, I can show you a spreadsheet detailing where every penny has gone."
Nikki to McCoy:"Well, you never asked me what I wanted to do with the remaining money. This is supposed to be a TEAM. The TEAM is supposed to make the decision."
McCoy to Nikki: "Your vote would not have cancelled out the 11 other players on the team that supported the decision. Besides, where were you this past season when the TEAM was playing on Thursdays?"

Anyone else get the sneaking feeling that this is shades of Trey/Barcus Sexting-gate scandal of just a few weeks ago?

Terri, none of that money was YOUR money. It was the team's money. Thanks to Doris, we didn't have to pay $750 to enter into FC. The TEAM decided that it was the classy thing to do to give a fraction of the entry fee back to Doris after we won. In effect, 11 people made a decision and 2 people didn't like it. You've already made your point that you disagree with PA's way of distributing winnings. You quit. That is your right. Your point has been made. Now it's time to drop it. The more you argue your point, the more people on the MB are siding with McCoy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but everyone went to Vegas without the knowledge that they were even playing for money...correct?

First, get your facts straight...Doris did not pay the $750.00 registration for FC...we all paid our portion...maybe you didn't, but the rest of us did...no money came from her. And I could care less who is siding with McCoy..I am not looking for support...just stating the facts...
