I'm sure PA is still salty about those ties, the time for revenge is now.

I still believe Zak has kickball satellite or something. NFL ticket, NBA full-court, MLB extra innings, what would kickball be called?

Unfortunately we didn't get to avenge either of our ties. OLK beat Sloppy in a very close game that was likely decided by the refs unfortunately. Tiki forfeited the tournament.

Bad reffing always stinks, but it is part of the game. Bad reffing happens in pro sports, so it is bound to happen everywhere else.

So this division that just finshed was what?

We rarely get snow here in VB. If you go an hour north it snows 3-4x a year. This Winter was the first time we've gotten real snow in almost a decade.

An hour north, snow at 3-4 times a year and in VB you got real snow for the first time in a decade. Wonder how those percentages work out :^)

Congrats to Panik Attack :HW: .
Did Tiki not have enough players to play, was there a specific reason why they forfeited? It seems like they never have a full team for any sort of tournament.
Also I thought AO was a halfway decent team, looking at the scores it doesn't look very good for them.

Tiki was short a girl. They tried to have their games pushed back one hour so their fourth girl could make it, but their request wasn't granted. AO got raided pretty hard by a few new teams. They are certainly not the same team they were last year.

We tried to work something out to allow them to play, but it would of meant re-adjusting alot of games and game times. We asked the captain of The Core if he wouldn't mind playing an earlier game instead (I don't know what he said, but I know I wouldn't of said yes to that). We even threw around the idea to compromise the times a little to have the game @ 1230 to see if maybe his girl could make it, but then we'd be pushing the following games after back as well. In the end came to they had to forfeit.

And by the way, re-seeding the tourney the day before the tourney would of been another chore as well, especially with only 2 fields and without a check in. So we kept it the brackets the way it was.

I'm all for fairness and letting all the teams play but the end it came to which down to the lesser of 2 evils. Adjusting several games (around 70-80 people would of been affected) because of 1 team, or making the 1 team (14-20 people) forfeit.

I have no problem with the final decision. I don't think special accommodations should be made for any one team. Certain teams have had special treatment in the past--it pisses everyone off.

I don't like giving any teams special treatment either; however, I think it would been more of a pain if we didn't at least talk about working them in. I mean we let the last place team in the tourney even though they had 5 forfeits. I am sure in Shore there will be no issues, since most teams in Shore are competitive and have been around for a while.

And on a side note. I'm gonna miss playing Shore this Spring... Hopefully I'll be back in the fall.

If playoffs are on a special day (ie: playoffs on a Saturday for a division that normally plays Thursday nights), I think everything that can be done to ensure each team can field a team for playoffs should be done. If playoffs are on a regular day/night that the season is played on, then no special accommodations need be made.

It's nobody's fault but our own that we didn't attend the Tourney. We had conflicts with two girls that made it to every game this season but just couldn't be there Sat. until after 1. The league tried to work with us but there was nothing we could do and had to forfeit as a result. As one of the captains it made me sick to not participate. We get such few chances to play meaningful games that we relish the opportunity to play against the likes of P.A., The Core, OLK and Sloppy and I congratulate both those teams for making it to the finals and being first rate kickball teams.

looking forward to SHORE and TKOIII, where we will be FULL for a change!

Yeah, he came to about half the games.

I still consider us a pretty competent team but we have been plagued not only by player poaching but have had major issues with people not showing up this season. Also, we frankly were not terribly motivated for the tournament because we were a) missing several of our starting infielders, and b) would have faced Panik Attack in the second round. We were more than happy to be able to start grilling and hanging out after the first round.

Not sure about the player poaching. I left AO because I wasn't having fun on that team, plus they supposedly got another charger, so I ended up playing charger for Victory in Da Feet.

EC came to the last Tidey Bowl and lost 5-0 to Blue Balls. Blue Balls would be a 3rd or 4th place team in Shore.

The last Tidey bowl was ages ago Trey (hello!!! that was 2008!!!) and it was only our second season of kickball ever. We were playing with the bare minimum to field all the positions( we also had to play down a player with 10 people cause a player had to leave) so I don't think that's a fair comparison to make. Our team has evolved tremendously since then.

1st base- Patrick who got recruited for vidf. Has some stretch and grabs at first and throws a mean cross.
2nd base- Molly from AO who moved to the peninsula who will be playing with us now. Arguably one of the best girls in the area.
3rd base- Nicole who got recruited by Sloppy and also one of the better girls in the area.
SS- Jeremy who nobody on your side of the water has seen yet but in a foot race would probably finish in the top 5 of all the players that side of the water has to offer from home to first.
Pitching- Brent that got recruited to vidf.
Catcher- Randy who played charger for AO and got poached to play for Lasalle's OLK on Thursday nights and one and one of the best at his position and has the versatility to play charger as well.
LF- Julie another girl who we just recruited back to kickball who is solid.
LC and RC- Matt (new player recruited back to kickball) and Marland think two guys with physiques of the pitcher from Panik and arms like McCoy
RF- Lorraine another girl who is solid

Our starting girls are probably the best I've seen grouped on any team across the water. If we're going on a division like this past winter in recess we'd be in the second tier of teams and would finish anywhere from 3rd to 6th with Panik and the Core being ahead of us in our best case scenario and even then I think we could sneak a game from the Core and we might be able to put up a run on Panik. lol

TKO III should be a good test.

George, yeah, sorry about the wedding thing. You'll still be ok with Randy charging, unless he plays with OLK
Trey, yes good move
Kim, you definitley did not look like you were having fun this season. That AO collapse was rough to watch. Will there be AO anymore?
Bundy, I'm lookin for a contract extension. And that was a brutal ass chewin on the ICH head ref.
