I did love the "no, it's not in the rule book. It was in an email that was sent out just to us refs." Good thing it was for charity or I probably wouldn't have let that one go quite so easily.

Even the base refs agreed he was using the wrong book. The 3B ref pulled up the PDF on his phone to show the homeplate ref. Maybe the homeplate ref was just happier with his head way inside his posterior orifice.
