I believe the run didn't score as well. Right before that play happened, someone on OSC went out to talk to the runner at 2B and he was pointing. Looked like he was telling him where to tag and where not to tag based on where the ball was kicked, not sure though, that guy a soccer guy? It also didn't look like the guy on third was running as hard as they could to try and score that run.
McCoy made a throw to nail JessBeans out at 3B in the Meatballs game, kind of a key play there as well.

A lot of Florida teams/players believe they are the best kickballers and whatnot, not sure how long you have been on the MB.

That and Dave (DUH) plays with Meatballs and so does JKI's pitcher (Corey) add some Fully Loaded players, Flades, and some other availables and it creates and eff show of talent on Meatballs and a lot of Salty people for various different reasons.

I almost forgot, I believe he was the only player to get eliminated twice in Vegas. Once JKI got knocked out, he joined Meatballs, talk about a high Salt factor. :-)

Yeah, I was the third base coach. I told him to tag if it went to right or center. He's one of the fastest guys on the team. Ball was kicked to deep center. No reason to think he gets thrown out like that in a million years.

If the base coach prevented the runner to fall off the base, that would be interfering in the overran/over-falling of the base!

There were a few top teams in vegas that I thought were too close for comfort.

LIU - if it wasn't for trey's big couple of innings in which he was solely responsible for all 3 outs in both innings, i feel that game could have gotten us in big trouble.

WTK - i believe it was johanna that kicked the liner up that dropped right by 2nd to put in a run which made it too close for comfort.

MB - always a tough game. I can't tell you at any point was this game felt like a winner. The only ray of sunshine was the 3rd out in KC and only allowing them to earn 1 run. I felt if we executed in the bottom of the inning, we would be able to earn 2 to win the game. Always a clutch game with them and I feel you can't seperate PA and MB anymore. The competition of us on the field and the friendships we've made off are irreplaceable. TOP NOTCH Meatball Nation. see you in FLL.

OSC - tough game with talented athletes. I feel they have offensive depth which makes us worry. We started big with a 3 up, 3 down 1st inning which I feel could have gotten us in trouble by thinking we had the upper hand.

I'd like my $10,000 now.

Jordan had some parting thoughts for the 3B ref after the game. He expressed his well-wishes (which included, but were not limited to, "f--- you"), and then went off to join the post game lineup.

I am apologizing publicly to JPW on here and I apologized to him on the field after I had a few minutes to collect myself. That won't happen again, I was so frustrated with how that game turned out and I reacted poorly. #-o

So if you were making a mockery of the pinch runner for injuries, that means you dislike the rule and that you believe kickball should allow pinch runners or not allow them at all (even for injuries)

I don't understand the ego comment. Obviously by having a pinch runner I clearLy do not have a ego n put a better n faster on the bases.....tweasy I think there a few loop holes in waka rules that need to b addressed this being one of them

How do you address this rule? Anyone can say they tweaked their ankle or I got a cramp! Can't prove if it is a legitimate injury. The only way is to allow pinch runners like softball (1 per inning per sex) or if you are hurt and you can't run. Then out!

What I am saying is that the only thing that could of been hurt was your ego (since the MB were down 1-0 at that point), since it was obvious nothing else was. I knew exactly what you were doing.

I agree that this loop hole rules that need to be addressed. Such as the "pop-fly" double play.

I think that in a competition of this caliber, if you come out of a game due to an injury, you must be checked out and given the go ahead by officials before being allowed back into a game.

It should be actionable through the "Sportsmanship" rule. PA was in a similar spot in the finals. McCoy was actually cramping and took himself out of the game. He got on and ran the bases anyways. OSC pulled the same shady move against us.

Bullshit, we did. Bill tweaked his hammy. He just sent an email to us last night saying he's missing the next couple weeks of kickball games in our fall league to let it heal. He's one of our fastest guys. Don't accuse us of shady shit like that unless you can back it up.

I'm pretty sure you snorted to much coke off of strippers asses if you really think you have a top 3 defense in the country. I'd say you're barely in the top 10 if that...

All of the following have a better defense (in no particular order):
PA
Meatballs
JKI
Balls Deeper
Riff Raff
OSC
WTK
LIU
Situation

I think that you guys played probably the best defense you ever have on Saturday...

I also think that you would agree that both teams would've had at least 5 more base runners had we not been playing on a field that the third base line was downhill and every good bunt rolled foul. It would've been a totally different game had we been playing on another field (not saying there would've been different result). On another field the final could've easily been 3-2. Also, your first baseman's foot was definitely on the wrong base and we would've scored the tying run on that play had the call been made correctly.

Congrats on your final 4 appearance and I'm sure that no teams will be "sleeping" on you (I know I wont be) going forward.

I guess we need to fax a memo to Florida.

It's in the rules that if you are hurt you can sub out a pinch runner. It doesn't say that you can sub in a pinch runner if you pretend to be hurt...or in your case, don't even pretend.

Don't remember who ran for Bill but I think most people on this board know that Bill isn't exactly slow. Plus he is as much a competitor as anyone on this board. No way he pulls himself unless there is an issue

I thought that the FC rules specifically spelled out the requirements for an injury sub, with the "injured" player being removed for the rest of tournament automatically.

That's what I thought, too. I told everyone on the sideline that after MK took himself out. I said it would work to our advantage because he couldn't pitch anymore.

It looks like it's up to the refs discretion, as the two rules addressing it conflict a little:

5) WAKA reserves the right to refuse play to any injured player and remove that player from the game. Players removed from a game in this manner may not return to or play in any WAKA kickball game that day. A player removed during a game for injury will be skipped in the kicking order.
6) Only runners who are injured while traveling to a base, and who successfully make it to a base may be substituted. The substitute runner must appear on the team’s kicking order for the game in progress, and be of the same sex as the injured player. A specific runner may be substituted only twice during a game; upon the second substitution, that player will be removed from the game and no longer allowed to participate (see Rule 17.06).

I didn't make a big deal of it because I was drunk by that point in the game. Haha.

Yeah, MK recovered quickly. Blackhole also got injured on one play, good thing he is ok as well. And the encroaching catcher, aside from encroaching against PA, he bumped into the 1B as he was out at first causing the 1B to double clutch and the runner from 1B made it to third. You Florida players have such talent and are top athletes, I just don't understand all the bs.
My retirement spokesman, sduncan will be handling all questions related to this topic.
