Meatballs are still #1 in my book.

3 tournament wins + a final four in FC > 1 FC win

How good is Panik Attacks division?

I would agree with this. I think the only thing that LIU has over SKG is a lot more big game experience.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, but Panik was runner-up to MB at SFKO, Semifinalist at TKO, Champions at NYC, and Champions at FC. We were 2-1 against Meatballs this year.

Panik's division is every bit as good as Florida Beach. To put it into perspective, The Situation, which many people consider to be a Top 5 team in the country is currently third in our division, with a loss to the 6th place team (Tiki Titans).

LIU really impressed me this year with their games against Panick in particular. I think they won once, and lost twice by a run. I think they just had really tough draws in a lot of the tournaments they played in this year.

I think SKG is a really good team as well. They're capable of beating any of the teams on that list, but if LIU and SKG played a 7 game series, I think LIU wins the series. I'd love to see SKG come East for a Circuit tourney though. It'd give them chance to play a few of the teams on that list and test themselves.

I'm saying if I was asked to rank Meatballs going forward with Corey, Dave, and Flades, I'd rank them #1. Trey asked for a ranking of teams at FC though.

thanks, man. panik freakin' eliminated us out of 3 tourneys this year: FL in the semis, NY in the quarters and then FC in the 16.

then in the other tournament, the meatballs squeaked by us in DC B-)

We have the talent. It's just a matter of execution. We brought what we considered to be our full squad (or close to it) to K365 and FC. We made the finals in both those tourneys. Those experiences will help us to finish off tourneys going forward.

I am not saying that SKG is THE top team, but i would think 5-6 would be accurate.

that 5th year game was definitely interesting to me, i have a lot of buddies on that team and they are solid and have been playing awhile but i was surprised by that result. i guess 5th year were up until the last inning or something, too.

Bottomline... We played like shit and made some mistakes that are uncharacteristic of our team. 5th year was a decent team, but to be honest the pitcher was the only player that stood out in my mind (And btw they would be a lot better off if he played 3B). The one thing I notice about the 3 west coast teams we played in pool play is that they kicked away a ton. Not sure that is the best strategy, but then again who knows...

As far as SKG is concerned, I just feel like you still have a lot to prove against the "big boys" so to speak. I'm sorry, but you guys beat JKI with an intentional walk and then an error by the RF on a ball that went through his legs. That really doesn't impress me enough to say you deserve to be ranked higher than any of the teams listed above you. Yes, you shut JKI's offense down, but in reality JKI has always had a lackluster offense. Now I'm not saying you guys don't have a good team and very well may deserve to be ranked higher, but unfortunately Waka didn't put you in a position with your FC schedule to impress people by beating the tougher teams of the tournament. If you do show up for a circuit tournament, then maybe we'll see how good your defense is and how quick your team really is...

That all may be true and certainly that is the knock on JKI, but I was just curious the last time Fully Loaded beat JKI.

I wanna see some SoCal action!

Hopefully one day soon at the very least all the teams that went to FC can get together for a day of games.

Im especially curious to see a Pitch, Please vs Los Brew Crew game.

I'm not knocking JKI at all. They were actually my pick to win it all. I do think it says a lot about your defense that you were able to keep them scoreless, but you guys need a larger track record against some top 10 teams to be going out making the statement that your defense is a top 3 defense in the nation... :wait:

Here's Fully Loaded's history against JKI (1-3 Record Overall):
FL Beach Winter '10
2-1 Win (Regular Season), 1-0 Loss (Playoffs)
FL Beach Summer '10
1-0 Loss (Regular Season), 1-0 Loss (Playoffs)

I can give you FL's scores and records against many of the top 10 teams if you'd like also...

Our defense is good, I would stack it up against anybody's, so I think we are in conversation, but agree that saying we are top 3 is definitely a stretch. I think my teammates just want a little credit for beating a high-caliber team and playing a stellar defensive game. Personally, I think we surprised JKI with how well we played early and it rattled them a bit.

Max you didn't beat a hi-caliber team. THEY made a poor decision walk and an error, and allowed YOU to win. Also the same person says they have a lackluster offense, and were his pick to win it all. Makes a lot of sense.

Before the tournament started, they were my pick to win. Their weakness is their offense. That doesn't mean they couldn't have won FC... How hard is that for you to understand??? :?:

Hopefully one day soon at the very least all the teams that went to FC can get together for a day of games.

Im especially curious to see a Pitch, Please vs Los Brew Crew game.

I would also like to see that. I have the unfortunate situation of having players that have lives outside of kickball (LOL), so weekends tend to be tough. Hoping they have the Circuit event in LA next year. we'll be there.

With all the difficulties of securing and paying for a park in Los Angeles, a tournament is a nightmare to try and organize, especially cause the best teams will invariably be without key players due to whatever reason.

SO what I am thinking is instead of a tournament, how about TRAVELING squads that meet for an hour or 2 and knock out a couple of games. No money required, we can all keep our own stats and most importantly, it would be easier to pick out random dates that work for the teams schedules.

This is all just to keep us competitive and to learn new shit. I am down to play anyone, anytime.

out of all the competitive teams in LA, you can't get 12-13 people to go to FL?

your team name can be "sofa brew guy AKT, please."

VG reunion means we barely make it to the field in time to throw up and get eliminated.

I dont wanna throw GFC under the bus, but the majority of the team only wants to play in Studio. So I have the monster cartel as my "CIRCUIT TEAM" and alot of them went to Florida St. I'll have a talk with them.

...via RPS on a staged television bit of nonsense, managed by the show's producers to not make the talent on the show look bad, yes.
