There are people bitching about a team that's massively better than other teams, comparing them to another team that used to be massively better than other teams... Then they call out a player on the massively better team, calling him arrogant for saying his team will win, as no games have been close since week 2... Then player on massively good team says they didn't form the team to be the best, they just happen to be good... Thing is though that people on the not massively better team is now saying kickball is for 6 year olds... Throughout the whole thing I have to ask...

All I'm saying is that this is not the same team and there are a lot of differences and it would be nice if you would recognize that. This team never tried to have a practice. We rarely ever argued calls on the field, half the time we didn't even put together a strategic lineup and rotation and let people try out different positions. There were no emails going back during the week discussing tactics (which Maggie can attest to, was a pretty consistent thing on AU). And more importantly we pre-gamed pretty much every week (which AU never did). It's a competitive team, but it's simply not on the same level.
We just don't take it as seriously. If you choose not to belive that, then that's fine.

I recognize that it's not the exact same team. My point is that it resembles AU enough that we're all completely legitimate in hating you for bragging about beating up on our squads that weren't groomed to bite our ankles and be awesome at kickball.

Further, the reason you don't need to practice/argue calls/strategize/take it SUPER serious is because - no offense to the rest of the league - but this league is pretty downright horrible. Outside of you/us/SK, there's simply no experience so whenever one of the 3 of us play against one of the other 5 it's an inevitable beat-down (hence why you're like 63-2 on your weekly predictions). So don't pretend that your lack of strategizing has a lot to do with how serious you are...it has to do with how bad the league is and the fact that you have no reason to strategize because you're going to win 10-0 anyway. Proof of your seriousness is the "hey we feel like beating the fuck out of Franzen" 17-1 game and last night's 22-0 drubbing of poor, harmless 15 Witnesses.

It's NOT the same, I am fine with that. But to say that you're on a different level than the old AU teams in comparison with the rest of the league is complete gobbledygook.

Obviously the results are similar becuase 1. yes the team is very athletic like AU was but also because 2. there is a pretty big gap in playing level. The first several seasons, AU went out with the mentality of "lets annihlate everyone". Even that started to change in the last few seasons. This team just goes out and plays. The only game where we tried to run up the score was against TWSS and like I said that's cause Franzen and Olson talking back and forth. We really had no intention of blowing out 15 witnesses. WE had the gameplan of going out and getting 1 serious inning with in so that just as a warmup for saturday and then we just screwed around and kicked the ball into the outfield every time and we stopped pitching overhand to the guys in the 2nd innning. Apart from getting out on purpose there isn't much we could have done. We had a lean team last night with only 4 girls and 9 guys and as you know, when you roll with a lean team (which wasn't on purpose) it can lead to a lot of runs.

Hey, give me some credit. That's like the first time the entire season I've bragged about our team and it's cause it's the day before the playoffs.
