The only problem is on the call that was reversed your girl was only halfway down the line when the first baseman caught the ball, making it irrelevent what base he was on because she was nowhere near the base.

Fortunatly for them they didn't panik and Tom and the guy who led off kept there cool and got on to start the next inning.

Yes that was certainly a Murphy's Law play. Thankfully we were able to re-group and get the job done after that.

Are there any videos from this tournament yet?

the ones that were live streamed are here: http://qik.com/kickball365/videos

Well, I was gonna work today, but I guess not.

That was my first thought when he made that call...seemed like he needed to eventually penalize you guys for that, but a REALLY tough time to do it. We must have bitched about 8 times before though, dude should have learned.

I watched 2 innings of this game and saw him straddle both bags at least 3 times in just those two innings.. He then did it against us too in the first inning.. Someone is gonna pull a meatball Kevin on him if he keeps that shit up

Professional kickballer. Do you not get paid to play? Casey signed me to a long term incentive laden deal.

YES!!! this conversation always comes up at tournaments when everyone is too tipsy to remember later on.

This community is missing out on so many networking opportunities as well. If this isn't isn't started in the next 20 minutes I'll start it.

Thanks for the kind words Oak...The problem with that being I was the one who started that whole mess that cost us 3 runs. I never drop a ball and I lost two in the sun in this game. I'm just happy we have the type of team to not get down on anyone and that has the ability to dig themselves out of a hole.

THIS is what makes us one of the best teams I've ever been on. Nobody blames anyone, nobody yells at each other, and everyone on the team is there to make their teammates better and not make them feel bad. Likewise, nobody takes too much credit or brags either. It's completely a "team environment"

Not sure what/if any footage we got. At multiple times I looked over and the camera was on the ground from the wind... who knows what we actually got. I do know the play at home where Joe was called out is on film (he's clearly safe) and where I was "out" at 1B from the ball hitting me a step and a half through the bag. Maybe there is one or two plays that shows how your 1B set up straddling the 1B line on any and every throw so you can see what we were so adamantly upset about, it was impossible to run through the bag.

I shocked it took five days for this conversation to hit the boards. I was expecting it would be posted as soon as the bars closed in Austin on Saturday night. #FML

I was trying to take a page out of Oakleys book. We won, we moved on, the correct call was eventually made. No need to fuss (too much).

The reason for Tom to continue pitching because he found that groove. The field was impossible to navigate with all the craters, dips, and valleys. He was a soldier and threw the final 16 innings of the tournament. I kept talking to him and he was still throwing with great control and if it's not broke I'm not touching it. The level of teamwork that went into that afternoon was amazing. If one of us stumbled there were 14 others there to pick them right up. We gambled at the right times and stuck to our game plan pretty much all day and it paid off.
