KA went from winning every tournament they signed up for like 4 years straight, to not even making it to a finals in any tournament in the past 1.5 years. They went from being the team that everyone knew would win, to a team that also ran. To be as untouchable as they were to as mortal as they now are, tells me that the field went roaring by.

"Roaring by" implies that they are unable to play at the level of the top teams, which is completely false. They lost by 1 run to the eventual champions in Boston, they lost by 1 run to the Meatballs in Vegas. They've never not been in the final 4. They may not be head and shoulders above everyone else, but there's nobody else that can claim they are head and shoulders above them, either. The field has simply "caught up."

I gotta agree with JellyDogg here. After playing KA or a KA spawn about 15 times over the past 2 years, I can tell you they are every bit as strong as they've always been. They taught us all how to play competitive kickball and we all learned it well. Your game, my game, and every other competitive kickball team's game is a model of KA. The 'rest' of us have just gotten stronger through recruiting. KA's kept their core of phenomimal athletes from season to season. FWB trounced Blue Balls in the Richmond tourney a few years ago, but you guys have recruited and gotten a lot better. Until you play them with your current squad, you can't say you've surpassed them. Hey Whoa beat them once, and Florida beat them twice (I think). Just ask Gonzo if KA has lost a step.

I never said that my team has surpassed KA, but clearly others have. I also didn't mean to discredit KA's past accomplishments or current skill level. They're still certainly a very competitive team. But like you said, other teams have upgraded significantly while KA has stayed relatively the same.

And I didn't play for Blue Balls in Richmond a few years ago. I was on Naughty Balls then...we were too busy getting trounced by KA in the semifinals to notice what FWB and BB were doing in pool play.

They raced using half of the road that Union Jack's is on. I was at the start, the bouncer Brian was the finish. He beat Stefan by maybe 4-5 feet. Stefan was pretty loaded though.
