Just curious...

I'm pretty sure I said something along the lines of "Keep that team (Hey Whoa) together, and I think you're definitely a top-5 team" after the DCK...Dematas H. It's in the works. I have played WAKA since Fall 2005 and I would have continued to do so, but there needs to be a competitive league/division for people to play in if they want to.

I hear ya!!! I'm going to play this winter season and see how it goes. But I think if this doesn't take the competitive edge off that WAKA wants then more rules will been changed. We will see!!!!!Dematas H. Whoa! wrote:Howitzer wrote:u da man playa!!!Dematas H. Whoa! wrote:StevieSlam wrote:Keep us posted when you have more details, though i'm sure you will.

It's a new year of WAKA Kickball, and with it comes a new edition of the Kickball: Official Rules of the Game!
The 2009 Rules are online at kickball.com now - check them out today!
Here are some highlights of the new rules, but there are others so be sure to go to kickball.com and check out all the 2009 rules.
NEW RULE #1Previously: a pitched ball had to bounce once before reaching the plate to be considered a strike.
IN 2009: a pitched ball must bounce at least TWICE, or ROLL, before reaching the plate to be considered a strike.
Why the change? To help keep the game at its roots as a social co-ed game anybody can play.
To me, this means WAKA isn't so interested in competitive kickball. I'm only interested in playing competitive kickball, so something has to change for me.
