Many of us didn't go to that tourney.

I'm with Kate. I'd rather mix it up with out of town teams instead of playing pool play games against those we see all of the time.

Maybe get a consensus on each regions general ranking and try to group the 1's in a pool, 2's, 3's etc. Then it would kind of be like a FL vs DC vs HR vs NY vs everyone else challenge.

With 20 teams how do you handle it?

5 pools of 4, top 3 teams make it out of each pool and 1 wildcard?

or maybe 4 pools of 5. Top three in each pool and one wildcard. Teams get 4 guaranteed games this way.

I would put my Sloppy Seconds team as being last ranked coming out of the Hampron Roads area...especially with all the other calibur teams coming from here. We are the Rookie team.

You shouldn't have anyone from your region in your pool (at the most, one other region team cause one region is larger than the rest)

Top two teams are MIR, FROSTY.. They've made the finals or won 2 of the last 3 tournies. They didn't play in FL

FL teams have made it the semi's of FL and VB .. They didn't play DC
Others/M2S have made finals/semis/semis of last 3 tournies.
LIU/Whoa has made finals/quarters.. They didn't play DC

I think this is a great idea. I think there's enough people from each region to fairly rank each region without much uproar.

That could be what makes the 365 tourney unique. Regional pride is on the line too. Whichever region gets the most group winners gets a cookie or something.

We're the second best team in the DC region behind The Others.

So if we did the regional thing, who would the other teams in our group be?

Frosty
Dumpster
One Night Stand

That'd be a sick group.

Exactly....play different teams......plus it adds to regional camaraderie as you'd be pulling/cheering for all of the teams in your region to spank everyone else.

Gym Class All Stars is made up mostly of Gonzo and KA alumni. If The Others want to register in different leagues with different team names, they can claim that all of those teams are better than BSC. But without recycling players, there's only one DC team I'd say is better than us. You can call them whatever you want.

The night of the tourney is most likely for me. I moved an hour and half outside of DC these days. No matter, we will make up for any lost time! I'll be sure to bring some extra goodies along for the night out!

So if we did the regional thing, who would the other teams in our group be?

Frosty

One Night Stand

That'd be a sick group.

Gym Class All Stars may have something to say about that, fyi. 10 Monument Champions, no team has one more then them in WAKA.

Gym Class All Stars is made up mostly of Gonzo and KA alumni. If The Others want to register in different leagues with different team names, they can claim that all of those teams are better than BSC. But without recycling players, there's only one DC team I'd say is better than us. You can call them whatever you want.

There are 4 people on the others on that team, hardly the same, but you are welcome to deem yourself what ever you like.

I think the rankings are fine. MiR and FB are clearly 1-2 (which one is 1 and which one is 2 is debatable). I have no problem with both FL teams coming in next. The Others haven't had a particularly good tourney performance in our short existence, so having us 5th is lower than our talent should be, but higher than our performance reflects. I think BSC's talent is right up there in the level that you have them, but I'd give LiU and DF the nod over them just for their tourney experience.

You leave those 4 people at home and see what BSC would do to Gym Class All Stars.

That is the only way to settle it. You can be sure that credit and respect will be given if you all perform well, no question about that.

Personal opinion is that BSC would steal GCAS's lunch money, then hold them down and fart on their faces for not handing it over fast enough. As stated in a previous thread, GCAS is definitely less than the sum of its parts.
