Los Otros got the cobwebs out of the way in the first game and just felt dialed in from there! Congrats again to them on a great FC run!

BCB wants to send a congrats to The Others. They played a flawless game and their bunts were perfect. Nothing really showed it better than the bunt that was laid down and we hoped to let it go foul but ended up stopping dead on 3rd base. Hard to beat when bunts are that well executed.

I would like to say though, while there is no doubting that the East Coast has more elite teams.... the west coast has talent and we will be back next year! We also want to personally invite any teams to come out an play us next year. Having the top teams come out to play in an open tourney out here would really help increase the interest in competitive ball in SF.

Great tourney gang! I am very proud of you all! Sorry I had to miss this one but family and weddings come first, well at least this year it did. I cannot tell you how happy I am to see such a great group of people win it all! Congrats to all my teammates, I am glad you have the feeling of being a NATIONAL CHAMPION BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can tell everyone that after reffing one of their games and watching the final 2, The Others were definitely prepared to win. Their knowledge of the rules and how to use them to their advantage definitely helped them on their way to the winning the title. Their strategy was flawless and their fielding was impeccable. Great Job Los Otros!! And way to keep it on the East Coast.

Good question, ran into him at noon the next day just getting back to the hotel - I am sorry to say he is the only one I got to congratulate.

So - Congrats to Bill, Matt, JellyDog, Wilner, etc - know some faces, no names! Oh - Gregg - finally got one.

Congrats to The Others. It was great playing against you guys (twice!).

Play of the tournament (or at least one of them) had to be the catcher (I think that is Bill?) kicking out Jon (our beloved POW) in the top of the 5th of the semifinal game for the 1st out after he laid down a perfect bunt down the line. I was coaching first base at the time and had to inform him that he was just the victim of probably the "play of the tournament"!

Anyhow, great job and look forward to seeing you guys/girls in February!

I'm glad to see there is talk of someone putting together an open tournament on the west coast. Also, more teams need to travel. I am also in talks to hopefully bring a tournament to the jersey shore this spring. Cheap rooms, nice fields, easy travel, and great bars.

Great game The Others. I felt like we had enough to win it all, and am definately proud to say that we lost to the eventual champs. you played great, and did what champions have to do to win, you made adjustments. We beat you guys pretty good earlier, and you came back and took us down. great game and great tournament. Great to finally meet all the messaboard names.

Best thing of the day. Tweasy walking up one of the players from Lock It Up like he was ready to fight, and the lock it up guy, who was all of 135 lbs, almost shit himself. stuttering stammering,and almost in tears before Tweasy finally cracked up laughing and told him he was Tweasy and I came in and told him i thought i was gonna have to save his life... Tweasy is Kinda a big dude!!!

You guys played an amazing tournament and a clutch game against us!!! Was a little tough to swallow at first...but was really excited you guys took the whole thing...you guys are a classy team who peaked at the right time and stepped up when it counted most! So let's hear from the winners. How was the limo ride? What'd you guys do afterward? Hope you got the chance to make up for the time you lost at the beer tent! Hey...at least we got to drink a couple beers at the fields this year!

Congrats to Roy, Dogg, Kemph, PDunc, WillMenace, etc etc etc for bringing the cup to DC. You've made BSC look stronger that we keep losing to you jerks in our local league competition in DC Capital. I think Festa just shed a tear.

Hats off to Balls Deep (Deeper?) from Florida who handed us our only loss with a tough bottom of the 5th run.

I echo the sentiments that it makes perfect sense for The Others to have won since so many of their players are directly responsible for all of these message board shenanigans and kickball365 in general. Really gives all of us has-beens some sweet competitive activity that has spread like a wildfire across the country.

Thanks for all the props, everyone. I gotta say that after our first game of the day when we got worked by Riff Raff, it didn't look like we'd be in the tourney for long. I'm glad we were able to bounce back and finally put it all together for a tourney run. I'd like to give more individual shout-outs to the teams we faced, but I need some sleep in a bad way. Perhaps tomorrow.

i will say that mr. awesome and POW were funny in person.

riff raff gets a bad rap....excpet for POW going temporaley insane for a week following the dc tourney he is in fact good people.....everything that he n mr awesome say is just to get a rise outta people....
