i dont think vegas was a fluke, i just think riff raff played a better game than we did and deserved to win it. that game last night could very well have been a shut out if we didnt make those two major mistakes which cost us both runs..

Sooo it could have been a shut out if you didnt make mistakes? Dont you think pretty much every game a team could say that? The fact is, that was a terrible call with Warley, and the spot in the line up he bats and who bats after him, that makes a difference. Yes Im pretty much 100% sure you were safe, that was without a doubt a make up call. If you were on there though, because of your spot in the line up it wouldnt have mattered as much.

He wouldnt have been leading off if the correct call was made. He would have been your last batter of the game!!

Jon.. Didnt you watch the Documentary on "THE U" when they went and played at Notre Dame. Coach Johnson said whatever you do, DO NOT force the ref to make tough calls because they will go against us. Fact of the matter is Miami scored on a touchdown and then fumbled but the refs gave the call to Notre Dame as a fumle fist forcing Miami to lose.

In all seriousness it does not matter, it was a good game by both teams. Surprisingly more offense and base runners than I expected which just goes to show how good both teams are. I fell on my face trying to field Warleys bunt which was a bit embarassing, glad it did not hurt us.

Can not wait to play these kids again in the semis.

For the record ShelanderTK did not use lube before fisting herself last night, it was awesome!

So after see all the top teams in FL Beach face off. Who are the favorites to win the tourney? Rank them on what would be the order for favorite to win the tourney

1. BD - BD is definitely playing the best ball right now. They have a defense that is as good or better than any of the other top teams, and the best offense in the division. They have also proven that they can win tournaments.
2. MB - MB have the most depth on both sides of the ball. They have interchangeable parts on defense and they can score from any point in their lineup. They have the best tournament record of any Beach team.
3. JKI - Assuming JKI plays their best players throughout the game and trims down their lineup a bit for the tourney, I don't see them being an easy out. Like Dave said in a previous thread, they've never lost to the same team twice in one season. It will be a barn-burner for JKI in the quarters and semis as they try to avenge two losses. They've also proven they can win tournaments before.
4a. FL - FL has a very impressive resume for such a young team. Many of their players have tournament experience and are accustomed to doing well.
4b. RR - RR has the talent to beat/tie any of the top teams in a one game situation. However, they've proven time and time again that they are a much better regular season team than a tournament team due to their lack of depth.

Theres my shadow, trying to cause trouble. He's seen all the teams and their rosters, so I would for sure take that breakdown hahahaahhaha!!!!!!!! The fact is that JKI has not been looking good. FL has little offense! BD could have lost both of those games vs those teams!!

If I had to rank them....
1a. BD - They are undefeated and will win the regular season title. This FC 09 semi-finalist is deep but can have lapses and give up some runs. They play in the conference that meatballs and RR doesnt play in so its hard to judge how they'll match up vs the real top teams. Obviously can win the tourney
1b. RR - Beat the meatballs in Vegas. Regardless what they want to say, the mbs got a call that led to a run they shouldnt have gotten to tie last night. In RR's 1 tourney (FC '09) they advanced to the semis, and have added 2 key players for depth. Appearently we can only put one win together, but in that tourney we beat 3 elite teams (the others, LIU, Meatballs).
Obviously can win the tourney.
2. MB - Can beat anyone, dont get how they say they arent playing well when they consistently put up 12 runs except vs top notch teams. Obviously can win the tourney
3. JKI - I think they are a better team then FL because of experience, but this team will have trouble putting up runs consistently. Dark horse to win the tourney.
4. FL - Lacks experience to win the tourney, and has offensive trouble. They are a very dark hourse to win the tourney.

Keep fishing, cupcake.

you are absolutely correct you can say that pretty much about every game, but the only reason i said that was bc you came out and said you wouldve scored more runs if q didnt shit the bed..well now cant you say that about every game as well..in every game there is someone who is supp to drive in runs and has the opportunity to do so that doesnt..its one and the same..the fact is however that the plays i am talking about were easy plays..the ball i threw to second went thru the girls legs and matt and i were out to lunch on the flades pop up bunt..q getting a hit in the clutch is a pressure situation and yes i know 9 out of 10 times q drives those runs in. well you can look at this way..

our mistakes---flades bunt, dropped ball on throw to second, not moving the runner over on bunt in first inning (which 9 out of 10 times jimmy makes)
your mitakes---q shitting the bed ( 9 out of 10 times q drives in the run)

we had three major mistakes and you had 1..your mikstakes cost you one run, our mistakes cost us giving you 2 runs and losing 1..the difference is 3 runs to 1..

bottom line....that is why the game is played on the field and not on paper..excuses aside..what couldve or shouldve happened, didnt and the game was a tie..dont worry well get another shot at each other in the beach semis..until then good luck

It's frustrating to tie a team that you're clearly better than. MiR tied Frosty twice, both times giving up stupid plays late in the game. At least MB still leads the all-time series by a convincing margin--despite playing poorly last night.

It's more frustrating knowing we don't have the regular season win (barring anything weird) than anything else.

The most frustrating thing is there is no crossover week in week 7. Bedrock n boca do but we can't do it in beach?....there would be no debates about the reg season champ...

Should be...
Balls deep vs meatballs

Riff raff vs fully loaded

Loop and Korb had a baby? Why am I always the last to hear about these things!! Congrats :inlove: :-O

Don't worry MK, we will get to play each other in the finals where it really counts, if you take out Riff Raff.
