This week: We Got the Runs

No big surprise here after soundly defeating a sneaky Where’s my BJ team. Don’t expect this team to be giving up the #1 spot anytime soon.

2. Pirate Hookers
Last week: defeated Toe Bashers: 9-2
This week: KIOS

As expected, an impressive debut for this relatively new team bumps them up two spots. Look for this team to challenge for the #1 spot as the season progresses.

3. NIMatHFs
Last week: defeated Ninja Monkeys: 7-5
This week: Balls and Brews

Not at all surprised by last weeks close game and certainly not looking at it as a sign of weakness; whether a blowout or a close game, this team continues to pile up the W’s. This week’s slip in the polls has nothing to do with their performance last week and everything to do with the Pirate Hookers.

4. Balls & Brews
Last week: defeated TBD: 8-3
This week: NIM

Pretty good start for a team with a lot of new faces. The level of competition will increase dramatically this week – time to see what B&B has.

5. We Got the Runs
Last week: win by forfeit over MC Team: 5-0
This week: Ligers

Uneventful first week for this team gathering a win by forfeit. Not sure what this team has yet, but we’ll certainly find out this week. This team has had some recent success against the Ligers, can it continue this year?

6. KIOS
Last week: defeated Fist Pump Allstars: 6-3
This week: Pirate Hookers

Very nice win last week. This team’s offense has been steadily improving over the last few seasons and it showed last week. Going to face much stiffer competition this week, we’ll see how they hold up.

7. Toe Bashers
Last week: lost to Pirate Hookers: 2-9
This week: Fist Pump Allstars

This is my new sleeper team for the season. Despite the big loss last week, this team has A LOT of potential and thus the #7 ranking. Once this team gets a few more games under their belt, they’ll be prime to hang with the best. Look for this team to continue to rise in the rankings.

8. Ninja Monkeys
Last week: lost to NIM: 5-7
This week: TBD

Valiant effort versus one of the league’s elite teams last week keeps this team at the #8 spot. Keep up the efforts like that and this team will surely be on the rise.

9. Where’s my BJ
Last week: lost to Ligers: 0-9
This week: MC Team

Perhaps I gave this team too much credit last week? I still believe this team has the ability to knock off the top teams in the league, but they’ll have to prove it if they want to move back up in the rankings.

10. TBD
Last week: lost to Balls & Brews: 3-8
This week: Ninja Monkeys

A new team that took it’s week 1 licks versus a team with some experience. Love a team that comes out and plays for fun, but that’s not enough to keep you out of the bottom tier of the Power Rankings. A win this week would surely move them up a spot or two.

11. Fist Pump Allstars
Last week: lost to KIOS: 3-6
This week: Toe Bashers

Didn’t get to see this team play, but I’m guessing they’re still learning how to play as well. A matchup with another rookie squad this week might be just what the doctor order.

12. MC Team
Last week: forfeit to We Got the Runs: 0-5
This week: Where’s my BJ

I am not even that concerned with what happened is seasons past (although I think you are right), but they didn't even have to play! How can they be ranked for on-field performance over any team that ACTUALLY played, much less over one that won??
