NIM vs Toe Bashers: same as above, NIM wins big (12-0, who cares), Toe Bashers go home to bash their toes in each other's labia in preparation for the World Cup cuz they're English.

Pirate Hookers vs We Got the Runs: this game is just an excuse for CJ to show up, it's just too bad he wastes his time cuz Hookers are gonna win, 8-4.

Apologies to Fist Pump, Toe Bashers and We Got the Runs for having to show up on a saturday to get their asses handed to them at the expense of the rest of us!

2nd Round

Balls & Brews vs Ligers: In all honestly, these next few games will be decided by 2 plays...whichever team makes 2 errors. I'd be lying if I thought anyone will outplay us, and Ligers don't make mistakes on saturdays, B&B does (they ARE quasi-reincarnated from Scared Kickless after all), so I'm gonna go with B&B making mistakes, and it'll most likely be Feathers. Ligers win 3-1.

NIM vs Pirate Hookers: the jig is up Pirate Hookers...you've convinced us you don't suck all season but the playoff heat and lack of a few of your key athletes will do you in against a more experienced NIM team (that sucks cocks). No surprises here as the Ligers continue their saturday stompings just like last fall...Ligers win 4-2 in a tightly contested matchup that results in Nate confessing to the league the he is actually a very ugly woman trapped in a man's body.

Even my postgame comments were eerily true...hatred was brought to a whole new level when I won the raffle (we love the kids!) and female MVP. We would've won more irrelevant awards but since Busch was in charge of them NIM got every irrelevant award out there minus a few. Bang up job there.

We can take it,that's why we're still playing WAKA. As far as it being no fun to play the Ligers, he's right. Not one single team has fun when playing you guys, and you seem to thrive off of that for some reason. The reason it's not fun isn't because you win, it's not fun because the level of douchebaggery on the field, the yelling, and running up the score 20-0 on a new team just isn't fun. NIM vs the Ligers, that's fine, be douches all your want to us, we're veterans and we can take it/expect it. Having that attitude of "fuck you if you can't take it, leave" isn't going to grow this league at all. That's why new teams never come back. There are other reasons too, but I'm saying running the score on a new team is one of the reasons. At least when we know we're going to demolish a team, we try to get 5+ runs in the first inning, then dick around and have fun the rest of the game once it's in the bag. The Ligers thing is getting pretty damn old, I'm not the only one who thinks so, I've had many complaints from new people/board members/veterans this year. Every other team has tried to dissolve, change names, themes, chants and players, you guys have been yelling the same shit for years. If that's your prerogative so be it, you're the smelly kid on the bus that no one wants to play with, and you like it that way for some reason.

Only teams that take us too seriously and don't accept our style as a joke complain about this “not fun to play” shit. In years past we’ve won the “most fun team to play award”...know why? Cuz we acted the same exact way we act now but it was funny and loveable when we were 1-9 every season. It’s fun and hilarious when we lose, but of course now that we’re good, people have problems with it cuz bottom line is it’s never fun to lose...for most of you at least.

Running up the score 20-0 on MC Team was absolutely pre-meditated...they were the whiniest team I've ever had to ref the previous week without even knowing the rules, and I have no qualms about that whatsoever after the way they treated ME as a volunteer ref. Beating TBD 18-0 was following the same NIM strategy you outlined above...we tried to get runs in the 1st inning, did, then dicked around and kicked the rest of the game...we can’t control the fact that they made about 20 errors in that game once we went easy on them. I follow almost the exact same lineup principles you outlined before Busch minus alternating defense because we pride ourselves on defense. There is no attitude of “fuck you if you can’t take it leave” to the new teams, that is reserved for the vets like yourselves that claim you can take it, but judging by your rant you clearly can’t. We played 6-7 seasons as the doormat, losing games by 15+ runs in the process, and it never bothered us because we had fun whether we won or lost...that remains the case today as we had plenty of fun even in a losing effort to you on thursday, then I show up to the bar to take my lumps...after all there’s nothing sweeter than beating the Ligers, as evidenced by the league banding together to win Penny Wars. Our “we have fun regardless” attitude sustains because no other team comes close to matching our camaraderie level. It’s also why countless veterans have asked US if we have space, cuz they want to experience it for themselves.

You guys can yell foul on the Ligers now all you want but the fact that you’ve waited until we won it all makes it pretty clear to me that this is only a problem when we win (which has been 2 seasons...out of 11). You didn’t seem to voice this problem on thursday that’s for sure because gloating after beating us was pretty nice wasn’t it? It’s all very telling to me. And this “every team has tried to dissolve” soapbox is a crock...SK “dissolved” cuz Woody tried to create the 2nd AU, we all know that, then you half-dissolved into NIM/B&B this year for the first time in how many seasons of playing together? If you had anywhere near the camaraderie we have for our team that would never happen...we don’t “dissolve” because we NEVER have turnover. We added 3 new players total this season to ensure we didn’t have low numbers since that was our advantage last fall in the playoffs, and we don’t split because neither team would have as much fun NOT playing all together like we always have. No other team in this league has ever had that, and that's why others have faded while we remain strong. So keep hating, all it’s gonna do is make us closer and encourage us even more.

If my job had never blocked this site, who knows where I'd have been today. Then again a bunch of people stopped posting on this within the past year or so. Wonder how this old boat will fare during summer league. As expected I am going to chime in as usual. I won't reiterate what Luke said but in reference to us "ruining" message boards and leagues:

First and foremost I've got nothing but love for you guys (NIM) but what the fuck? Its like your abilities to talk shit vanished in the wind after this weekend.
Pete, nothing changed on this board. The same people still post but maybe just not as frequent, minus CJ. He is on here having battles with himself if no one else will. And the board wasn't ruined. It has always been us against you guys with a splash of Scottie and Luke's relentless battles. If I remember when I first joined the Ligers and it was basically Luke and myself against all of you, you were on top of the board and the league while we were always trying to beat you in the playoffs-and never could. You had great players and it was always you battling Scott for the championship while we watched on the sidelines. We NEVER changed anything we did from then to now...on here or in the league. And then your team dissolved, you joined Scott I believe and won yet again. Winning is great isn't it? No one ever really seems to bitch about anything when they win but when they lose it's extremely easy to point a finger. (Which I did as well on Thursday and tried to call you out on the Rollin's sisters but I was wrong about it. Hell I even complimented you guys on your win which NEVER happens) So, once you leave for a few seasons and come back things are a bit different and we happen to be better than we were. We win a few championships, luckily back to back and it happens to be against you guys. Did you really think we weren't going to pour a little salt on the wound after Thursday? Do you really think some members on your team wouldn't have done the same thing? Hell, we won last season and Nate was still the relentless ass he is, but I love him for it because he can take it and give it. I can honestly say if I thought you guys couldn't take it all in stride I wouldn't say a fucking word to any of you about winning. But you always seemed to take it, until now it seems.
And no one racked there brain to pull up your past. We brought up one person and a particular baby-which we all know isn't yours. And you played back. "Whit, you loved her first." "It's Whit baby." If it bothered you that much or annoyed you then you should know to just come up to us and say, Can you stop. That would be it and you know it would be. We and especially myself will never personally attack someone in order to actually upset them. Sure everyone digs deep at each other sometimes but everyone always has.
As for us being so bad to play against and ruining the league and new teams enjoyment, I'll ask this-which Luke brought up...Has anyone actually paid attention, especially new teams to who we actually yell at and how much? On average we pick and yell at each other in a fun way (minus a few blowup we have) more than we yell at ANYONE else. Steele and Romer got it more than anyone EVERY single game but it was all in good fun-within ourselves. Not anyone else. The fact we were so loud and obnoxious towards each other makes some think what the hell is wrong with these guys? And given, there have been some teams we have barked back at that were new, but I distinctly remember they were either jabbing at me for having no sleeves or telling us we were too competitive or whatever the case may be. Sure sometimes I should keep my mouth shut but fuck, I don't know how to. Just the way I am. And just like Luke said, we turned off the gas just like you guys did, but would it be a bigger slap in the face to just kick away or sit there and act like out of nowhere we forgot how to play kickball bc they couldn't catch it? And looking back at scores, I think all of us had a few double digit wins. Just the way it goes.
Now if some new teams look at it as us being dicks to yell loud and enjoy ourselves on the field then that's that. Some teams get it, some don't. We will never stop yelling or lose the camaraderie we have with each other just because some people don't get it. However, I have and will never say go fuck yourself to anyone who can't handle playing in this league. I have spent numerous drunken nights promoting this league to anyone that would listen, perspective and current players. And along reasoning for why some teams leave is sometimes because it just isn't for them or they break up on their own. Not because one team upsets them so much they say fuck it. It is a competitive league with competitive rules. Go watch a game at any of the tourneys and most any of those teams would hand our asses to us 95% of the time. That may be why RC does so well bc the rules are different and easier for the average person to be good at.

I'll end with that and my own little food for thought. That was pretty fucking long now that I look at it with a number of run-on sentences but fuck it. It's late. Everyone is due their own thought though, even if it's a dickhead Liger like myself.
