A lot of teams have been going off on thier own this season, crowds at Tiki have been small.

I may actually want to umpire this game, I can dust off the old all-star game rules. Allow leading off and base stealing, but take the bunt away. Suprisingly, when I did that, hardly anyone ever stole a base.

you'd have to have some pretty decent comunication with your kicker, cause otherwise i'd imagine many people attempting to steal would end up caught in double plays

Does anyone else find it odd that the one WAKA league that champions itself as not being competitive--and has been known to shun competitive teams--is the only league in Hampton Roads to have an All-Star game? Haha.

it's definitely not a true all-star game as far as the best players playing against each other. its more so like the MLB All-Star game where its the fan vote and the more popular players/teams get votes and a player from each team has to be represented type thing.

there is a decidedly blue and yellow tint to one team

strange that there is such a high number of votes on one side and not really a proportionate amount on the other. must be a computer glitch.

Kim even mentioned it didn't seem like the top players.

I'm intrigued by these "All Star Game Rules" mentioned above though. Is there really stealing and no bunting? that sounds like fun...

when kim said that...it was like a week ago. the votes have changes. yea there is a lot of blue and yellow. those are the top 2 teams on that side. i personally would have rather just have the tourney that day instead.

I agree there is a larger number of votes one side of the, but at least they are legitimate votes and not someone voting 30 times. For the record 120 votes have been made for the Sunday Team and only 90 have been made for the Funday team.

And yes there is a thought about making it a fun game with different rules, but that'll be up to the captains once the rosters have been set.

I try to do something nice and fun and fair for the league and all I get are complaints or people trying to rig the effing vote by voting 40 times. Some people are too sensitive. It's not my fault that people think highly of others. Tell them that if you think someone on their team deserves to play, try this... vote for them!

MOST teams on Sunday probably don't deserve to have anyone on an All-Star team...even if it's at the 3rd grade level.
