Sir Kix-A-Lot are generally known to beat themselves due to errors. That's why it's hard for them to break the top 10 list.

Those 3 are the top teams in that league, big drop off after them. What bar ended up being the division bar?

Boogey's maybe? I didn't go to the bar, but I heard people talking about going there.

As far as some of the other teams, the Swazies Crasies looked pretty good but that may have just been Fielding You Up sucking. Game Over also looked like they have potential.

Never heard of that bar. Swazies Crazies played the last season I played, good defensive team and their captain/catcher is really good. If they added some good guys since i've seen them last play i'm sure they gotten better. Haven't seen Game Over play before.

Don't know if SC had already built up a lead, but whenever I looked over it looked like their guys where just bombing it on them. Most of the dudes could kick pretty well, girls bunted better than STB's girls, and the whole team looked pretty fast. Don't know if GO is new or not, but they didn't but til like the 2nd or 3rd inning. They probably won't fair as well against the top tier teams in the division.

I'm back in the lineup kicking in my normal spot but probably won't play the field until December. I just got a hard cast this week and they take that and my pins out the week of Thanksgiving.

I wasn't there, so this is just an assumption, but most teams that are similar in talent look good against one another.

For example, a bad team with a bad pitcher makes the other teams kickers/bunters look better then they really are.

As far as Fall season in AZ FIRE goes I would project the usual teams to compete for the championship. SKA are the reigning champs and are always a tough game. BR is back and have a lot of athleticism. They won back-to-back championships last year. SC has been improving each season and are no longer flying under the radar -- they have learned how to play and adapted to WAKA strategies.

STB is in a bit of a "rebuilding" season. We lost all of our girls that anchored our team over the past year or 2. Brand new girls and a bunch of new guys as well. The core of the team remains and should be able to coach everyone up. The atletic ability from all the rookies appears to be there, so it's just a matter of getting the reps/experience.

I'm not familiar with a lot of the other teams playing, but I bet a few others could compete for the championship. Teams always get exponentially better over the course of a season (especially for these brand new teams).

I can relate with your comments. AOD's squad this season is a little bit different from last season. Last season, our chemistry was completely in synch. Collectively, our offense and defense was always on the same page. Hopefully, with a couple more games, we should get back to where we were.

I think a bunch of us really need to get together and start organizing some tourny's here in AZ. There's more than enough passionate players here that wants an AZ Tourney.

Speedy and whoever else. I was thinking of trying to start a huge tourney and make it a fund raiser for Breast Cancer Awareness. Something like kicking for the cure... I never like going half-in, so all out would mean planning something for when other parts of the country are in winter to make it inviting for them too. Next November was my goal, with a twist. I was looking to get sponsors for teams. Companies/people who wanted to donate to Breast Cancer Awareness. This would make it easier for everyone and we'd be doing a good thing. I may go all serious on it and actually start a real non-profit organizaion that has this event annually. I've been getting calls from Coca-Cola and Taco Bell as possible sponsors.

I'm sure I'll enlist like 10 people to help put this thing together. If you want, we can start talking about stuff and coming up with a realistic plan.

We should have a little mini tourney to get interest in as many local teams as possible too.

I was thinking, IF it was a fund raiser idea - we'd have to have a A and B tourney or some way for the non-serious kickball teams to have fun and not get their asses handed to them in a tourney. Since my goal is to have kickball make it to the lawn of the White House, the more people playing, the better. The more people donating to save our moms and sisters, the better too! We need to make it fun for everyone.

Some planning meetings should be focused on reeling me in, since my ideas so far include the following:
- food obviously, but hopefully sponsored. people would throw in a few more dollars (optional) to get a burger, etc.
- beer. hopefully sponsored a portion, but we need to make sure to be able to sell or provide it obviously
- CA$H prize for the winners. Significant money to make it a serious event
- a centralized hotel or 2
- transportaton to fields and to mill ave
- some bar to sponsor something for the evenings, even if its just something simple
- team sponsors (optional), where we could put the logo on the back or something for them. If a team wants a sponsor, they can do $500, $1000 or $5000 - whatever. the more, the more places your sponsor's name/logo shows up
- there's so many dumb events around town with sponsors giving away their services, food, etc. this one is better than most (meaning breast cancer vs. greek-fest), so why not go for the gusto!.
We should expect vendors there giving massages, chiropractors, etc. just like Pats Run!!
ha

shut up! whatever.

Did you ever find a Thursday team. I talked to Butters and we definitely needs girls. Please sign up for Leadfoot Warriors if you are still looking to play / for a team.

Ok, I will definately do that! I will sign up tomorrow.
