VA Southside Fall 2010 Tournament

For us, we only bring on people we know (mainly people that we know we'll enjoy playing with). Usually we've played with or against them in some sport, and have an idea whether or not they'll be good at kickball. We also have a "no douchebags" policy. Don't care how good you are, if you're a jackass to your teammates or the opponents, we don't want you. Fortunately, we haven't had any issues yet.

edge, you missed the slowest line drive in history. we were playing on field 4, kicking into the wind. someone kicked a line drive straight at lorraine in short right, and i was backing her up. standing where i was, seeing the ball come straight at us, it seemed to take about 5 minutes to get there from home plate. omfg...

you also missed what might have been the worst reffing ever. like, ever. i mean, seriously, worst. reffing.

Yeah I heard from David there was some bad reffing. Who was reffing?

Regardless of what happened in the playoffs, it was a great season for ViDF and I had a blast playing.

Tournament winnings $9,250

14 players were given $500 each at tournament after game=$7000
Doris, our team sponsor, was given $500 after the game=$7500 (agreed on by the majority of PA players)
14 players were given an additional $100 last week=$8900
Trophy was engraved with everyone's name on it for $115=$9015

I then sent a text out to the team saying I had $235 left that I wanted to use to get Chilled Ponds a plaque and Doris a plaque. I really can't believe I have to come on the message board to defend myself here. This is embarassing. Thanks! PA has my back.
