Last night could have been, when keeping it "serious" goes wrong!! Gotta love when a team with a better record and more "juice heads", than a open audition for Jersey Shore, is complaining about pitching too fast and talking too much trash. Although, I got the feeling after the game, that more than a few of their players appreciated playing a tough game with us, and didn't have a problem with sportsmanship. Fuck the 3 or 4, that refused to come through!!

I'll go ahead an apologize ahead of time before i see anyone. I don't know if it's because we haven't played in 3 years or if I wasn't chasing my butterflies like Luke tells me to, but i was a bit too fired up and on edge last night.
Given the second game didn't help much because whether anyone heard our not, a guy we played against pushed Carrie almost knocking her down and that kind of got me off on a wrong start. Given Carrie is quite feisty herself, shit like that is kinda uncalled for. At the end we all cleared the air and all was nice in the land of kickball but last night was a bit much. Again though, I should've been a tad bit calmer last night. And for that, my apologies.

As for last night, I do feel like there was a lot of pinned up excitement, aggression, competitiveness, etc. on the fields and at Gus.' I especially was all 3 and then some due to not playing and other bs that is going on in my life right now. That said, and trying my best not to be biased because i play for the ligers, but if anyone wants to say people don't enjoy themselves bc of us then i have to say that is a bit of bullshit. Box, this is in NO WAY directed at you, so please don't take it that way. But it seems that anytime something negative happens we almost always are the ones people point the finger at. Sure, we definitely stir the fire, I won't deny that one bit. We are pretty much the league villians and thats ok as well. But as far as shit like last night goes I can guaran-FUCKING-tee to anyone our little tiff was not ignited by anyone on the Ligers. Sure, once it started we didn't do much to calm the situation immediately (and we should have) but we did clear it up and fun was still had. We even ignored some little hobbit on the other team who continued to ride us which we never do. I guess what i am trying to say is its getting a little old of hearing people point the finger our way when they don't always know the facts. Should we do better and not be in the middle of all the bullshit? yes. Should I? yes. No question about it. But if we all want to have as much fun as possible in the what, one fucking week of kickball left, (thanks mother nature, you whore) then end the gossip girl bullshit that has been ensuing. We ALL have enough shit on each other to go on for years, and we all know that. For once on a serious note, can we all try a little better to stop leaning over each other's shoulders to see what this person or that person is doing and why this shit happened and for what reason and this season isnt as much fun because of this , etc etc etc etc. At the end of the day, I think its safe to say, we all have each other's back to some degree. I know I have all of yours and i think you all know that. No matter what bs i say on here. Its evident on here at least when some jackass from another town gets on our thread. FRIDAY AFTERNOON RANT TIME!!!

- Yes we’ve won the last 2 seasons...we also lost for the majority of the 9 seasons before that. Also...when we’re destroying you in the field, it’s not our fault you suck. Most of you weren’t around to see that we played the doormats in this league for a lot longer than we’ve actually been good.
- I can’t deny my villainous ways, and I agree not everyone is built to take my shit, but my shit is pretty harmless in person, where I typically make fun of my own team members 10 times more than I make fun of our opponents...if you can’t handle being demoralize on the message board than go talk to the WAKA moderators that speak in smiley faces all day long.
- We don’t argue, we just yell a lot and hope we get our way...eventually you give in cuz we yell louder. Again, it is not our fault that we are more passionate than you! That’s why Scottie always puts the experienced refs on our games.
- The Ligers didn’t invent munting, or being villainous. I was munting back when we couldn’t win games in efforts to make our team better also just FYI...now we just have enough experience and know-how that more than 2 of us know how to munt. And we WILL continue to munt until we have a 10ish run lead, because we’ve blown 10 run leads in the past just like several of your teams have.
- Throwing overhand to girls, totally fair...Jody and Whit are assholes. BUT again...we were not the first team to do this in the annals of Richmond kickball, you just like to paint us with that brush.

BTW, fuck those cheating assclowns from last night. I wasn’t at the game so I didn’t see all the details, but they were just bent out of shape because (in chronological order):
1) What you said above gets blown out of proportion to the new teams before they even get a chance to play us cuz the rest of you cry about it so much, so they hated us from afar long before they met us on the field a few seasons ago.
2) In last year’s playoffs we accused them of cheating, they didn’t understand why, we brought in the ref to tell them why (Whit C can attest to this entire story), they still didn’t get it, then the ref said “do you want to just take the forfeit now?” and I answered right to their leprechaun midget stripper captain last year “no we’d rather just murder them on the field,” then we did to the tune of like 12-0 or something like that. No mercy for cheaters.
3) In last night’s game we went up 8-0 in the 1st inning due to a) our awesomeness and b) their terrible defense. I’d be pissed too, but it’s not our fault they sucked.
4) Old Man River – when faced with the reality that other Ligers can pitch – decided throw heat to all their guys AND girls due I believe to a) the mustache and b) the Four Loco, which is banned in like 30 states I’ve been told.

So anyway, we continued to curbstomp them, Steele got sensitive and sympathetic giving them reason to believe we actually are dicks, and they don’t even know us in the first place they just judge us based on “what we are on TV.”

I’ll admit...if I only knew “what we were on TV” I’d hate us too. Hell, our own team members hate each other, that couldn’t be represented more obviously based on Steele leaving the field cuz Jody was raging so f’ing hard last night. BUT the reason the majority of you put up with it is because you know we’re all good people in our hearts, because you’ve gotten to know our non-TV personas. I admit proudly that I am the league’s biggest fuckface...I actively try to be, because I LOOOOVE playing the villain (that’s the nice thing about being a Dusett...one of us is outwardly nice to everything – esp. animals, butterflies and kickball league members – and the other is a complete and utter asshole because he doesn’t give a shit what the lot of you thinks about him...sorry everyone, no offense, that’s just the way I’m wired). So all that said REGARDLESS, all of you that actually know me can separate the nonsensical unibrowed Liger that I am on the field from the actual person that I am, a very good person (some evidence = us likely giving more effort and money to our charities over the last 6 years than any of the rest of your teams). You guys can debate against that if you want, but those of you arguing against me guaranteed don’t even know me. If a group of people can’t recognize that, accept it, move on and laugh at it, then you’re probably in the wrong god damn league in the first place AND you’re probably a judgmental shithead anyway. Say hello to me...I don’t bite, I’ll likely refill your beer (or buy you a pitcher if we just beat the shit out of you) and generally treat you as the decent human being that you probably are.

I was just stating that it gets a little tiresome when people point the finger our way whenever the reasoning as to why people don't have fun or come to the league and leave the league. Just like i am sure it's tiresome for people to hear us yell Ligers over and over and over - which has been minimal this season compared to seasons past. Sometimes I just wish people wouldn't act so damn self righteous and mind their own business.

As for Scott there was no fight ensuing between us, as you now know. I was very worked up last night and sometimes we get in little spats, nothing personal. Think of it as more of lets bark at each other for a few minutes and then muuussaaa it out. Just something we do sometimes.

I can't believe we're even re-hashing this conversation. Steele walking off the field was in response to an argument that I had with him about the pitch, that was indeed a "one bouncer" and a ball. It was very dark and a late game, and the my pitches weren't exactly rolling "slowly" across the plate. I have apologize to Steele about getting in his face about that call in particular and the subsequent issue we had after that play(which is why he actually left the field). I'm 100% confident that I'm the sole reason for Steele "walking off". I didn't argue with Steele to be more of a "dick", than the rest of the Ligers, or to make sure the other team didn't have a chance. I got upset, because I thought Steele was making Petro's job as home plate ref, even more difficult than it already was. When you start undermining the authority of the refs at the games, then teams lose the confidence in whether any calls or plays that the ref make accurate. If they cannot lean on the ref for their best, unbiased opinion, than it's quite possible that they can take the anger and hostility out on the opposing team. I could tell we were in a volatile point in the 1st inning by being up by such a large margin, on a good team. My goal was not to "cheat" the team out of a ball, but to keep the game progressing, while maintaining Petro's authority. The other team was already complaining about how fast I was pitching to the girls, and it was very vocal from the outset.

Oh, and I'm not sure what your point of "being dicks, assholes and acting childish" is about. I why you would say that, unless that was directed at me for the reason Steele left! Unless, it's meant to cause further dissension between Steele and I, or Steele and the Ligers. People leave their teams every season and join new teams for those same slanders you accuse us of. I certainly admit to doing those things, when I've had too much, and I'm pretty sure you have as well. Not all of the Ligers carry on those antics all of the time, but occasionally we do get rowdy. Hell I was the of the ones up front trying to calm the other team down when they were walking out on the field and it looked like the shit was about to go down.

but again, make sure you all get your stories straight on this one. Regardless of what you hear or see 10 yards away, or 100...at the field, or at the bar. Everyone has gotten worked up in games before, gotten pissy about calls, yelled some words back and forth at each other, ran scores up, etc etc etc. We have done it, you guys have done it, everyone has at some point. If you say you haven't then you're fucking lying and you know it. As far as having fun playing against us, looks like KIOS did...unless I was playing in a different game than everyone else was. Hell, Luke and Sogar had a friendly bet that ended with both teams having a fun joke together at the end. We are loud and half the time NO ONE UNDERSTANDS what the fuck we are saying...we don't even know sometimes. If someone looks over and says who the hell is that? It's a kickball team being loud, playing kickball. Should we move inside a library so we can accommodate those who aren't accustomed to that behavior? Someone call Henrico, that may alleviate our weather issue. Nonetheless, try not to be so damn quick to toss judgement when you really aren't too sure what is going on during a game...and especially in that second game.

Of course I miss dodgeball. I feel like I haven't even played kickball this season and may end up missing the remaining portion of the season anyways.
And a slight correction Marty, (I'm assuming this is you) we lost in the second round, not that it makes much difference. Truth be told we didn't have any business being ranked #1 but since we played all of the WAKA teams and we all know how that went, we had a pretty cake schedule to the top.
I love how winning the chick fil-a tourney has given you all of this new found confidence. I congratulated you, you guys played well. But you won in the amateur league and I saw the teams you played against. Half of the teams had guys 3 times as wide as you. Even Nate could get them out with his limpdick "sequoia." The team you played against at the end was good, but that was pretty much it. Regardless, you guys won, so again, good work. Just make sure whoever you play for in DBall signs up to face us so I can once again use you as my TP roll.

You're absolutely right, chances are if we had played amateur we would have won, no question.
In regards to the hoodlum team we played with those swamphogs, we beat them and finished higher in our division. Not quite sure what your angle was on that one.
Lets be honest, in order for you guys to get to the playoffs you had to beat Adam L.'s team and his band of chubby misfits. Not the hardest task to accomplish. If my memory serves me correctly, you guys barely did that. Just sayin.'

What can i say about the tournament. We got hot at the right time. But dont say we played mediocre teams...Sure there were some pathetic people out there, but in the 16 team tournament everyone was legit. Like i said, we just had a lot go our way. Losing 3 games all day is pretty solid i would say. But drop down next year and win it...But for the next 330 days or so, im using the Chick Fil A champion card as much as possible. ha ha
