To anyone who thinks Oakley is a good ref...

New York City, NY

Postby J Hard » December 5th, 2007, 9:51 am

First kicker of our game against Bacon Bits, bunt, safe at first. The ball is underthrown and gets past the first baseman. Runner gets second, possibly third if the ball doesn't go out of play, right? WRONG. Oakley Hall takes it upon himself to kick the ball back to the first baseman. Runner did not advance (and was eventually stranded at 3rd).

I told Oakley that this topic was singlehandedly going to get me to 1,000 posts on the MB.

I should point out that I'm not mad at Oakley and actually think this is hilarious. But he deserves a ton of shit for it.

I am getting mileage out of this...Mileage.

By the way, Bo Peep, I'd appreciate it if you didn't talk about how creepy I am as a date on the forums. I'll respond to it in your thread, but you're really blowing up my spot here. How am I supposed to spin my game on the rest of the ladies when you're spreading egregious lies about me?

To reach 1000 posts, you need a thread topic with greater MOmentum.

We do need to overcompensate for the dearth of MOvement in that activity ... I suppose talking about it is a second-best alternative ...

There's never MOing in our ESOPs in Northern VA.
Just seemingly endless dance-offs.

In college (my freshman year), my soccer team informed us newbies that we were to keep track of our MO's during the season. We also had a another game we played involving MO's, HU's and ti^2 that I can discuss at a later time.

Well, we had no idea that the coaches knew about the tracking system too.

One night while we were at dinner after a game (approx. mid-way through the season), the captains asked each of us freshman to report our numbers. There were 5 of us total - counts were 2, 3, 0, 1...and then they got to me.

I had 9 or 10 already.
