Back to the game. After talking with a few of the Meatballs, they feel very confident that they will win by no fewer than three runs. Many think a repeat of the 10-0 game during the Ultra regular season is possible.

The scouting report I've heard from Meatballs on Fully Loaded:

-The infield is mediocre. Charger is a weak spot. Casey's pitching has improved, but not to the point where he can take over a game. The Catcher can make some good plays, but makes a lot of errors.

-Offensively, Fully Loaded isn't a threat. They're good for at most one run a game against an elite defense. Their lead-off (Catcher) is fast and gets on most of the time. He's their only hope to score.

- Fully Loaded's girls are a weak spot. None of them can cover much ground, and they get exposed with only 10 players on the field.

I don't agree with this assesment at all. Their charger is far from weak. He has improved significantly and should be considered a good defender. Their catcher is a really quick catcher that is definitly underrated... not elite but close to it IMO. On offense, again it comes down to their bunters at the top of the order. They have very good kickers behind them. As far as their girls, they are far from weak. Their four main girls (jen a, Dana from jki, seana, and a new girl not sure name) for the tournament are some of the best around...

I'm sure a lot of MB will disagree in a public forum. Different things are said behind the scenes.

And to clarify, "weak" is in comparison to elite teams--not your average league team.

I'm pretty sure that nobody from the Meatballs that was either serious or knows what they are talking about told you any of that. It was pretty funny though. I was actually laughing out loud while reading it.

It's hard to get sarcasm over an internet chat, but the convos with the MB players were serious in nature. I didn't detect even the slightest hint of sarcasm. There might be some hyperbole in their statements, but the fact that two of the MB agreed almost verbatim to what I posted makes me think that this is the general opinion of MB. One other MB was a bit more humble, but still very confident. MB still thinks that FL is a good team, they just think that they are much, much better than you guys.

Well ofcourse they think they are better than us and why wouldn't they? We have played them six times in the last four months and our record against them is 0-5-1. I really have no grounds with which to argue. The best part is that after February 19th, it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks.

And just some food for thought? How many teams in this tournament can say that they will have played the best team in the nation 8 times since October in meaningful games once SFKO roll around?

I don't know...I think we've played Situation more than any other team since our FC Championship. I don't recall playing anyone 8 times, though.

Thats a large line

depends on who will be missing and size of line up. It being waka with the red ball and 11 fielders it may not be high scoring

In Boynton the score was:

Pool Play Game: Meatballs 2 - Fully Loaded 0 (Meatballs scored twice in the first)
Championship Game: Meatballs 3 - Fully Loaded 1 (All the runs for both teams were scored in the last inning)

I had these scores in my phone so they are accurate.

It may have been 2nd to last inning. Because DP,Myself and Chaz scored and I remember Jess getting thrown out at home after that. And she kicked around 8th or 9th

So when it comes to the history of Fully Loaded vs. Meatballs with WAKA rules it is the following:

Boynton Beach 2009: Meatballs 4, Fully Loaded 2
Summer Beach 2010: Fully Loaded 6, Meatballs 4
Founder's Cup 2010: Meatballs 4, Fully Loaded 1 (Gave up three runs in Kansas City)
Boynton Beach 2010: Meatballs 2, Fully Loaded 0
Boynton Beach 2010 Championship Game: Meatballs 3, Fully Loaded 1

So like I said...A spread of 2 looks about accurate.
