Fully Loaded vs Meatballs - Thursday 7PM - Tale of the Tape

Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Postby machinegunkelly » February 9th, 2011, 5:21 pm

for the record i was not at the fully loaded victory vs us....

i think a proper spead for equal action on both sides would be 2.5

Also for the record, I played catcher for Fully Loaded in that game... And that line sounds about right

I'm not saying that the Meatballs beating us by 3 runs is out of the question, but we have never lost to the Meatballs by more than two runs in a six inning WAKA rules game. So I don't see why you would make the spread more than two. Not that it really matters, but I'm just curious....

well i made the spread 2.5 because I feel like if there public were to bet on this game this would give equal action on both sides...doesnt mean that the we r going to win by 3 runs...i know more than anyone this game will be a grind and prob be a one run game. but that is the proper way to set a spread....if all the action goes on FL at +2.5 then it could move to 2.

Very competitive and well played game by the Meatballs and Fully Loaded coming down to the last play of the game as Fully Loaded had guys on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs in the bottom of the 6th and one of their best kickers up and the Meatballs held for a 2-0 victory! I think the odds on Fully Loaded to win SOFLA will drop as I see them as the 3rd best team in the tournament!

Sooooooo......about my spread of Meatballs at -2. Looking pretty good now huh? LOL

And Sedlak, I love you analysis most of the the time but your last post doesn't make any sense.

If you have a spread of the Meatballs by 2.5 and we lost by two, why would our odds of winning sfko go down? Also, you already had Panik and the Meatballs at higher odds than us so how would we move down to the third best if that's what you already had us as. Are you saying the third best in SoFLa?

Yeah that was a good line. I think we should always throw a .5 in it so that there is no push.

I think both FL/MB are a lot better then what they showed last night. Some errors/base running mistakes on both sides. And some terrible at bats with foul outs and strike outs looking. Nice charge by FL at the end with 2 outs. One line drive kick away from it being a 2-2 game.

And with the whole Florida thing, I don't really see the chances of two Florida teams in the Final Four as being that great.

For the Mushroom Stampers and C'mon Man, it would be a huge accomplishment to make the Elite 8.

As far as JKI and Balls Deeper goes, I can't see them making it any farther than the Elite 8. I hope I'm wrong because I have a lot of respect for both of those teams and want them to do well, but I just don't see it anymore. JKI is definitely better than Trey thinks they are and Balls Deeper is not as good as Billy makes them out to be.

As for my team, anything short of the final four will be a disappointment.

In my opinion, Fully Loaded is substantially better than both JKI and Balls Deeper. They have really benefited recently from all the competition in the Ultra League and the Boynton tournament and have been steadily improving. Mr. awesome is a good pick up for them to add pitching and offensive depth

JKI is trying to work together new pieces but is going to struggle offensively even more so now than in the past (and they've always struggled in this department.

Balls Deeper I have no idea what the hell they are doing now. Apparently they'll be missing Dan, their best player, next weekend, and a couple others
