please help! need housing for Thursday!

My husband, noshoes, is flying in on Thursday for the tournament but after we bought his plane ticket we discovered his team is not actually getting in until Friday so he has nowhere to stay Thursday night. I am hoping that one of the locals can do us a big big favor and let him crash on their couch for a night.

Im fine with you crashing on my couch. That said I am in Burbank, and work till 6pm-ish, and have kickball that night.

There is a shuttle bus/subway combo that can get you here for $10 bucks. Id say I can be your emergency place to stay if you cant find anything more convenient by thursday.

Im heading to Long Beach Friday at like 8PM to the current hotel.

To be honest, I'm not in it for the info.

I just like seeing kick ass kickball plays. "Social" kickball hurts my brain. How do you guys turn it off for social ball, and then turn it up for Circuit level play?

I've played drunk in costume, complete with cape........ at charger, but I couldn't turn down the intensity. It was pretty funny, just ask Crash. The karaoke afterwards was pretty sweet, too.

fwiw, bryan's friday team has 9 women and they all show up every week in costume. at the beginning of the season, only one of them had cleats, and they were neon orange. one came out wearing ballet flats and another started wearing converse high-tops. when i suggested she should get some cleats she said "oh, i have tennies in the car i just can't find them right now..." he doesn't LIKE to play social, but that doesn't mean he CAN'T. we even played on a "sunday funday" league once! granted, from the pre-season meet & greet to the end of season party we heard a nonstop string of "you're a bunch of jerks! we hate you!"... that's beside the point.

No prob, sounds like he has a couch and a ride. He just won't be able to see much good kickball. Meet some folks though. Thats always fun.

heh he's coming back to a double header with panik attack and the situation. we face them and back in black twice each in the next 4 weeks. tournaments are for meeting new people, seeing new places, and playing some ball. as long as those things are done, he'll have a good time regardless.
