Sadly 12 is a long shot. The last time there were that many teams was Spring 2010 and ever since then the number has declined by 1-2 teams per season. I think there will be 6-7 teams tops which is very sad. This league was so much fun and way more competitive when there were 16 teams but that hasn't happened since 2009. A lot of people got tired of getting beat up by the Hooligans (and now Kickey) and the owners aren't doing anything to promote the league or bring in new players.

So when does Monsoon start...and where are the fields? Don't feel like going to the website to look it up. Been trying to convince my brother to play...He lives off Baseline in Laveen and works in Surprise....soooo he's pretty much all over.

It should start in late July or early August and it goes pretty much all year except for when the city closes down the park for 2 months during the summer when its 105+ degrees out. The park is off of 32nd st and Roeser which is like a mile south of Sky Harbor Airport. Tell your brother to sign up.

That's almost exactly where it is. The league has some social rules built in so we will go easy.

Last time I went to visit my brother/go to a conference....I stayed at South Mountain and drove to his house everyday, it was probably like 20 minutes...so no big deal.
PLUS we always frequent The Big Bang and occassionally The Library while we wait...pretty sure those are further east of him than the fields...

I just sent him an email.
Hopefully he will finally be able to join up!

How can we get people to join? I had 2 teams say no because of the location. The easiest way is to take the 2 good teams (not the green a$$holes) from chandler and get them interested in winning.. Then they will upgrade their teams with good players over the next 2 seasons, since they love drinking with me - but they want to beat me.

I was also trying to help persuade Pitch Slap on Friday. It's a definite possibility. I know there is one new team in the works as well this season, and I could potentially put together another one, but am hesitant to do so as it might weaken my usual team... or it might end up being a really good time and a not so good team.

I haven't signed up a team, because I don't know any details. When do we start? How much? Where are we playing? None have been posted yet. How can I recruit if I don't know the answers to these questions?

I will have a competitive team for Fridays. I have been getting a feel for who is interested.

The website says the season will be at esteban park, but also says that is in tempe which we all know that it is in phoenix. Kinda wierd that they are failing this hard so close to the beginning of the season.

Hooligans will have some rebuilding to do. Lots of players retiring from kickball. So look in the future for the Hooligans to rebuild. Since I don't want to recruit this season, we merged with a team needing players

That is what it sounds like. I am not doing the recruiting. So I guess this could happen. I guess I will see who is on the team next Friday
