I'm one to talk since I've dropped plenty of fly balls in my day, but Jared dropped a pop up in the OF last night that bounced right off his chest. As a superior crossfit athlete I would have expected you to catch it. Were you out that day?

Crossfit actually worsens your catching ability. It increases your chest size with massive muscles that just get in the way. If you are a crossfitter, you must catch with your hands to be successful.

every wednesday I come on here for a slam thread about me.

It actually hit both my arms and chest. So I have no excuses. It happens to everyone, including a player on your team in Florida last year against us.

Crossfit has made you a worse kickball player. You were elite. Now you are above average. Originally I blamed it on your knee and your being unsure. Your knee has healed. Your mind has healed. The only logical excuse is crossfit.

Explosive squats and deadlifts combined with agility drills and sprint training. Focus improving fast twitch reactions and power to weight ratio.

deadlifts are probably the best lift for speed because they work the back of your legs, which is where the power comes from when running.

One of the best exercises for speed are lunges. Done correctly, that exercise simulates that explosive movement.

Stationary or walking lunges.

Step forward or stepping back.

Back leg on Bench.

So many variations of lunges, which is the one you are referring to?

Both sumo and standard seem to work similar muscles. The sumo is definitely more explosive. I know the same parts of my body are sore after each.

I am just talking about walking lunges.

What about box jumps, standing squats and jumps (don't know the technical name)?

I have noticed that crossfit does impair my catching ability as well. I am significantly faster and now my reaction time is much quicker. I now close my hands too soon when catching balls. It sucks being ridiculously fast.

So cross training has made you less elite?

Is every cross fit person going to say cross fit is the reason they are so good and then when they mess up say its the reason they messed up?

no hijacking, you specifically said CrossFit does not team how to catch a kickball. I then gave reasons why I didn't catch the ball by showing myself working out.
