Hi all,

I'm happy to present The Circuit Record, a compilation of the 2011 Circuit season that includes results from all tourneys as well as a bit of a record book (for example, who knew that there were multiple teams who scored less than 1.5 runs per game in pool play... and still advanced?!?). I know that there were a few people on the forum who were talking about such a thing, and, well, here it is.

http://www.kickball365.com/thecircuit/r ... it-record/

Big thanks to Shane, April, and JPW for their help. Obviously, big thanks to Admin for making all this possible.

Comments and suggestions are always welcome. I'll apologize in advance if there're errors - the screen tends to get a bit blurry after looking at the results of nearly 400 kickball games.

Work on the 2012 version of The Circuit Record has begun, so hopefully we'll be able to cruch through that before the 2013 season begins. :)

Enjoy.

That has to be BiB in ATL. We averaged below 2 runs a game that tourney, but were still the 6 seed coming out of pool play. Somewhat amazing.

Thanks for putting this all together. I can't wait to check it out.

Just a couple of fixes for BiB. On the bottom you have us losing to NYSH 8-1 when it was 5-3 and you have us losing to Blood Sweat and Beers 5-3 and it was actually 8-1. It's just reversed. Also we didnt compete in the CC at all. Otherwise awesome stuff.

Great work Eddie!

Although it does hurt my eyes to see us at the top of most losses (13) last season as well as having the most shutouts (8), I guess that's what happens when you play MB/Panik 5 times... Here's to a better 2012

Is there any team that went to as many tourneys as you all did? With as many tourneys as you guys go to, you're bound to pick up some losses. no shame in that.

I believe Fully Loaded and Panik both attended 1 more than us, with much better records as well. Fully Loaded is a traveling machine!

1. Traveling shorthanded and still playing under the Flying V name in D.C.
2. Playing CC after Founders Cup with no subs.
3. Not being very good?
4. Me playing catcher?
5. Having a pitcher that pitches underhand.
6. Joe getting married.

Thanks for the kind words, all. Admittedly, I'm a bit of a glutton for punishment (did a 280 page tourney summary for my softball league with box scores and sabermetrics), but it's nice to know that there's some enjoyment for this type of stuff.

Thanks for the clarification - will update.

What is it supposed to be?

Kickbot wrote:Eddie, did you write a piece of software to do this? What did you use?

The data itself was compiled in Excel (April/Admin/Shane/JPW helped get me the results spreadsheets). I basically took them all together and then queried the f*** out of it. Individual tables were taken and imported into Word. I tried to do it in Excel, as well, but it just didn't look right. I've got an idea already precolating for next season, though. I'm going to test it with my softball league first and see if it'll work.
