NYSH over Fully Loaded in the finals.

MMS didn't have to make any tremendous plays (with 1 exception in the first inning) and they never got a runner to third base. MMS twice had a runner on third with one out and never scored them. Overall though I think they are significantly better than the team you saw at SFKO last year, and FC the year before that.

How a team plays you in pool play is very different from elims, and it can definitely affect your perception of them going forward. I've only ever played NYSH in elims and both times it's been close, hard fought games. Their track record speaks for itself. They're very good.

I don't think they were kicking to only have 16 at bats in a 15 out game.

He means better then what they were in SFKO a year ago.. They have since combined with another team so they have a larger pool of players to choose from for this tournament. I don't remember this team ever being an easy out and I know they can kick bombs.. it's not every day someone kicks a ball into another field off of Corey holland, and I remember that happening at SFKO a couple times when they played a few years back... If you sleep on them they will beat you

I'm pretty sure they made it to the rd of 8 in both the tournaments he referenced, not a bad showing at all. If they are better than that they'd be the favorites.

So let me get this straight.. A team makes the elite 8 and loses that round... So now if they are better than they were they are the favorite? So no way they could win that elite 8 game and reach the final four? Or maybe even reach the finals and lose? That wouldn't be better as well? That makes perfect sense.. great job on your analysis like always
it's nice to have you back. I was worried about you post SFKO but it appears you are starting to get back to your old ways. I'm not saying I blame you for being severely depressed, but I am glad to see you turn the corner. To my knowledge only two of the teams that are attending LSKO Sofa King (FC '10) and FL (SFKO '11) made it further than they did in either tournament. With that said, I'll concede, if they are better, they should be ONE of the favorites, maybe not THE favorite. It's tough to read sarcasm, but my point in both of my posts was that whoever claimed they're better is probably wrong.
. SFKO is a much tougher tournament than LSKO. An Elite 8 run at SFKO is comparable to a final four or championship game @ LSKO. Just because you're the favorite in one tournament doesn't mean you're the favorite anywhere else. Silly
logic, no two tournaments are the same competitionwise.

It's fun to compare them to their polar opposite, and hometown rival (my new team LIU). LIU is very consistent and almost always wins against the teams they should beat and loses against the teams they should lose to. NYSH has the ability to lose bad against LIU (see: SFKO '11) or beat the crap out of LIU if they're hot. That's the greatest part about the rivalry.

While that might make for a good rivalry I don't think it makes for a good shot at winning a championship. Consistency is one of the most important aspects to winning one of these tournaments. It's hard to stay "hot" for 8 games. It's easier to play consistently good for 8 games.

you took offense when Kevin said they would smoke you, which they did, and then you went as far as saying "Don't you need to score runs to win" or something along those lines.. to me that's a pussy way of saying "we are going to win" in a way so you can go back on it after you get smoked.. I'm sorry but I've heard of games that are 5-2 or maybe 4-1 or something like that being closer then the score, but when you lose 9-2 you either got smoked, or your team simply isn't good and made errors that a good team would NEVER make. When is the last time the meatballs put up 9 runs on any other team that was in the elite 8 at sfko? Fully Loaded not included since they play them 19 million times in league play and the Fully Loaded league play roster would struggle to make the elite 8.. To give up 9 runs in a game where the meatballs aren't even going all out is a joke and shows how over rated (like I called) your team is... And before you say the meatballs were going all out did they have only 4 girls playing? and were they 4 out of these 5 - Jamie, Audra, Jess, Kristen, Jordan? If not, then that is not them going all out.. I'd bet they probably had 5 girls playing and at least 1 was not one of the girls I just named..
