The Newest Merge!

After many years of negotiations and numerous cuts by both parties in the past week…Get Off My Kick and The Midwest Mushroom Stampers have officially merged for Summer Ultra Kickball 2012. With limited number of players this past season, we found it in our best interest to do so and give us an “actual” shot to knock off one of the freakin’ Meatballs teams for the Championship.

With that said we are reaching out for team name ideas? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and it does NOT have to do anything with our old team names.

We will be better then the ninja kitties and beachslappers i can promise you that.. this merger woulda been good for circuit.. for ultra it just hurts them and the league.. and regardless, they still have steven elliot making coaching decisions on the field so they will never win the league...

I was going to have 4 guys left. I had to merge or join another team. We have been trying to do this for a while now. Only had to cut 3-4 from my team and he did the same.

I disagree. Makes the league better. If we have 7 teams we can have double headers and better competition

If we didn't do this you would have lost 2 more teams. GOMK was not coming back and MMS wouldn't have had enough for a full team. So at least we keep 1.

3rd.. but i'm bringing a new team to the league, not making the league smaller.. i left fully loaded knowing i was going to bring my own team to the league, but I wasn't gonna have them play their first game of kickball in ultra.. instead we went and won bedrock, beating your team and steven elliots team on the way to our title, so for the time being I played with Pizza Fusion and we won a title... now i'm bringing new talent to ultra

Why wouldn't MMS merge with NK if they already merged for the Circuit?

The merge with NK is a one year contract. I highly doubt it going past 2012. A few of the stampers wanted to travel this year and we are good friends with the kitties. Worked out for us. We will see how the rest of the circuit turns out.

1. How long until Tigger gets kicked off of his own team.

2. It's always better to merge two teams into one team--rather than lose two teams.

3. I don't know the players, but it's also better to make one competitive team and lose two struggling teams. Those struggling teams probably wouldn't have lasted much longer in Ultra without making some moves. They'd be behind all the other teams as far as recruiting/developing talent and would eventually turn into a farm team for one of the better Ultra teams.

MEATBALLS are unstoppable! Wow. At this point, the only real question is... are they the 1957–69 Bill Russell led Boston Celtics of kickball or the 1963-75 John Wooden led UCLA Men's Basketball of kickball?

(although I do highly recommend "sidelines" gay sports bar happy hour for those of you coming to SFKO next year)

So I had a nice relaxing day yesterday fishing with ray and Gary.. come on the boards this morning only to see little tiger talking about me all day!! Now I wonder do you think about me while your laying down in bed at night along with all day at work? And for future reference its spelt Stephen Elliott.

And on a side note we were thinking of calling ourselves the MEATBALLS since there is actually no meatball team in the league.. haha
