Flades, I had a guy from Cobrai Kai tell me their charger and catcher were from Portland. No idea if those guys will be in Jax. Disclaimer: This was told to me late Saturday night in Austin so no guarantees on accuracy. I can say with all confidence our roster for Jax tourney would beat the roster we brought to Austin by a solid 3 runs. I started at catcher and kicked second in Austin, compared to not being good enough to even crack our roster for single elimination at SFKO. Anyway, I'm bored and since we didn't have a chance to play Cobra Kai head to head in Austin here's a comparison of the two mutual opponents and resulting scores.
Cobra Kai 2 - Lights Out 3
JKIDeep 11 -Lights Out 1
Cobra Kai 3 - NYSH 5
JKIDeep 0 - NYSH 1
Cumulative
Cobra Kai 5 Runs For - 8 Runs Against (0-2 Record)
JKIDeep 11 Runs For -2 Runs Against (1-1 Record)

I think everyone is jumping on this cobra kai train and giving them a ton of props for the finals apperance in Austin. How they follow up Austin next week will give people a better understanding of cobra. To me, they are no different then the cobra that has been around for years.
Cobra-A solid team of athletes that kick a lot. They could get hot headed and argue but just ignore it,win and move on.

Out of curiosity, why do you think you should be ranked higher than fully loaded, based off of past performances?

If cobra got through nysh or jki to get in to final it would say a lot. Not to take anything away from them cause a finals apperance is a great showing at any tourney. Just saying how i look at them thats all. I would say they are better than flying v but not as good as liu.

Come on man. We beat LIU in Florida. The Flying V team in Austin was missing a ton of key players. I was the leadoff in Austin because we were missing our top leadoff guy Justin and our 2 hole guy Troy. (Justin and Troy are our best bunters and on base guys on the team) The SFKO Flying V was also missing a TON of normal players but this was down played bc of additions. I will say that the Jacksoville team will include a pretty full team by Flying V standards. Justin, Troy, Shulte, Russ, Brick, me, Graham, RED, Tim, etc. Graham and RED on the mound are a pretty nasty combo pitching. It really adds a lot to our D. Tim will make a name for himself in Jax at the charger position. Our Jax roster will have a LOT more offense then the Austin roster with much better bunters. We basically had 3 new guys trying out their first circuit event ever in Austin that aren't even on our team. Jax will be a very tough event with the caliber of teams, but I think we will do well.

Couple notes:
After waiting to hear back from a couple other bar options for the meet and greet, the after party bar made me an offer that I thought would end up being the best overall for the tournament. So despite usually having a separate bar, I decided to host the meet and greet at the same location. The drink specials are about half the cost of what others were willing to give, and they offered discounted food as well. There are plenty of other places to go once the meet and greet ends, all right next to Blue Water Island Grill.

Since it's Monday and you want to fish, I'll throw a line in as well. Based on one of the random mock pools that has been thrown out, it seems like there is a very good chance our two teams will meet. We both know what each other is bringing to the table. Care to throw out a guarantee like you did against Relax? Then we'll see what you really think

you realize how difficult this tournament is going to be, right? Let's say you get a #2 seed after pool play... theres a good chance you could face a MMS or Cobra Kai or Flying V or Fully Loaded in the first round of elims, followed by another one of them OR meatballs in the final 4... then obv. whoever is left.

6 of the top 12 teams in the country are playing here, and most of them are at full strength!
I'm excited to see if someone can pull off an upset somewhere and really shake things up!
