Week 7 Predictions - Spring 2012

Postby bearFight » May 15th, 2012, 8:18 am

FINALLY! Someone (two someones, or perhaps three) pulled wins out of their asses. Congrats KINS and Three Kicks Mafia. After a week of bitching, I've come to terms with losing. Going 4-2-2 last week puts me at 27-6-7.

6:30 Games
Scared Kickless (3-0-2) vs. Sleeve Monsters (4-1)
This game should be incredibly close. SK has a high-powered offense and their defense seems to lack at times, while Sleeve Monsters have one of the best defenses in the league, but their offense often struggles. SK was stifled by Alive & Kickin's bunt defense last week, and I think Bruce and the boys should prove just as, if not more, difficult to get past than Jody was. I'm going with my gut here and saying SK's defense steps up (or Sleeve Monsters' offense slips)
SK 6, SM 5

BLACKOUT (4-1) vs. Kick me Baby, One More Time (0-4-1)
BLACKOUT blew it last week and gave KINS its first win. It certainly could happen again. Hopefully if it does, Garda Hyde doesn't show his face too much in the following week.
BLACKOUT 6, KMB1MT 3

Brocery Bags (4-0-1) vs. KINS (1-3-1)
KINS has a decent bunt defense, and their outfield is considerably better than what BLACKOUT threw out there last week. The errors that KINS saw against them last week shouldn't happen again... unless the BBags dress for the theme like the old days and can barely move in outrageous costumes. I'll pick them to win, but I might regret it the moment they show up to the fields.
BB 6, KINS 3

O.F. (3-1-1) vs. Pitches be Crazy (3-2)
O.F. continued to show last week that it belongs in the top of the standings. Pitches be Crazy, though, beat the piss out of Kick Tease just as badly as SK did the week before. Does anyone know if that posted 20-0 score is real?? That seems slightly ridiculous. Anyway, I have to think that score was a product of Kick Tease blowing it, and not PBC finally finding one of the more potent offenses in the league. I'll choose Woody's pitching and Tim's aggressive baserunning over them any day. Or at least today.
O.F. 6, PBC 2

7:15 Games
Alive and Kickin' (1-3-1) vs. My Couch Pulls Out (0-4-1)
From what I hear, A&K's defense really stepped its game up last week. Combining that with MCPO's forfeit last week and their near-forfeit the week before, picking A&K to win is a no-brainer. A team with more than 10 girls shouldn't have this much trouble finding 4 of them to show up each week... right?
A&K 8, My Couch Pulls Out 1

Kick Tease (0-4-1) vs. KIOS (3-2)
After its apparent shellacking by Pitches be Crazy last week, I can't pick Kick Tease to win here. Sorry I'm not sorry. My experiences against these two teams were about the same, but with how far Kick Tease has fallen in recent weeks, this could be the first KIOS blowout I've ever witnessed.
Kick Tease 1, KIOS 7

HOFNARs (3-1-1) vs. Derelicte My Balls (3-1-1)
HOFNARs are coming off a bad loss to a good team, and DMB is coming off a decent loss to a bad team... this could get interesting. I have to go in favor of DMB because their offense has shown some serious potential, and HOFNARs... well, who knows. Every time I pick you guys to lose, you pull something out of your asses and yell at me (except last week). Do it again.
HOFNARs 3, DMB 5

Three Kicks Mafia (2-3) vs. Diesel Train (0-4-1)
Diesel Train is going up against yet another team full of Cap One kids. This time they've got a real shot. DT showed some serious improvement last week and lost a close one to Brocery Bags, but 3KM actually did pull out the win against DMB. This could be a really good one. I really like betting against Three Kicks though. I'm sitting next to one now. Fuck him. Also, Fuck the ligers.
Three Kicks Mafia 2, Diesel Train 4

I have the score books, but I can't confirm the Pitches vs Kick Tease score. Pitches be Crazy didn't keep any stats (shocker there!) and it looks like Robyn gave up scoring for Kick Tease in the 3rd. It was 16-0 at that point though, so 20-0 doesn't seem like too much of a stretch.

Prove it. If anyone can do it, you can. Just make sure they throw to first on your way there. That bunt had better not be too perfect.

Glad to see there's been some improvement since the 6-2 loss to my BLACKOUT this season. Unfortunately I'll be playing at 630 as well today. Good luck kids. FUCK FEATHEEEERS!

I agree with all the picks this week. I'm actually tempted to pick against my team after last week and the HOFNARs are a good team but I couldn't in good concious do that.

After learning Bro Bags' theme plans, I know for a fact that game is not going to go their way. I just hope that game lasts the full 3 innings required for a game to count. I don't know if they'll get any outs in this one.

I see what you're doing there PM by giving your team the reverse jinx and saying you will probably lose to the HOFNARS...and I don't like it.

P.S. - The police are actively looking for people without there seatbelts on so click it or ticket guys.

I've never gotten on here to talk a player up.....until now.

Just want to give a shout out to Anna Wade who played 2nd base for us last night. She got three outs and also had the awareness to run and tag 2nd and then throw the ball towards 1st to get a double play.

Great job Anna.

and great showing at mulligans last night everyone.....Brocery Bags.... I must admit, I am jealous of ya'll right now after I saw that limo.

I'm trying to keep Garda Hyde in check, or Chris WILL die this week. That's a fact.
