Thought of this the other day. I assume NOLA will have the greatest concentration of kickball/beer nerds present than any other tourney. You guys want to try and rally up somewhere? I'm sure the ODB guys can point us to a quality establishment...or we can just bring our own.
As far as beer news goes...I've been drinking lots of pumpkin beer lately. Schlafly is still my favorite. Mom's out of Springfield MO has a pretty good one that is a bit more understated than Schlafly (pretty much same flavors, just not as intense). Really reminds me of pumpkin pie. Southern Tier has a good one that is really reminiscent of pumpkin bread. Rogue made one strictly from ingredients they grew on their farms. While it's super hippy friendly, I think they need to work on the recipe a bit more. Not much going on other than a bit of pumpkin flavor. Heard some good things about O'Fallons pumpkin beer, but I'm not a big enough fan of the brewery to risk trying it...at least yet.
Schlafly just released a Tasmanian IPA that's really good. Nice, crisp and somewhat light for a super hoppy beer.
Anybody want to try trading some local stuff out? My space will be limited since the Guapi are driving to NOLA.

I've yet to have an Abita beer that I've enjoyed. I just feel like their stuff is so safe. Nothing interesting whatsoever.
I am definitely down to meet up with y'all. There's a great bar I went to in May called Avenue Pub that's a trolly ride away from where most of us are staying. I suggest we try this place instead. Super low key, phenomenal selection. Pool table. Juke. Check out the current tap list:

I'm looking forward to this! I get in super late on Thursday nite, so maybe Friday afternoon? I know a few other LIUers will probably be interested as well. This sounds really fun.

Nope, I've never seen it. Look fwd to finding it, somewhere. Ha.
Yeah, btw, everyone is welcome. A few people on LIU are in. We should probably start coordinating email addresses and/or phone numbers. Maybe create an open Facebook event?

El Guapo are not any fun, don't invite them. Plus, they have added some not fun people for NOLA, like KO.

I just bought another six pack, I'll bring you a bottle. Open event would probably be the easiest way. My FB is on my profile.
Dematas...you coming or are you gonna stick with umbrella drinks?
