Zer0ne wrote:The captains voting ends tomorrow, which will help establish polls. Until then, let's see who ranks who where. Let's see your rankings for this tournament!
1. NYSH - Won the last tournament they were in that included some really good squads. I have no doubt they'll continue to play at a high level in Harrisburg.
2. OSC - I know OSC owns a victory over NYSH from SFKO, which was only a few months ago. Some might even say this warrants the number one overall seed at PAKC. I wouldn't have a problem if these two teams were switched in the rankings.
3. LIU - Still had a good showing at SFKO despite losing some players, at least from what I hear. LIU is a proven brand, and still looks to have enough talent to do well in Harrisburg.
4. Lights Out! - Lights Out! is rolling deep at their hometown tournament. They've made some key additions that make their big three (Charger, Pitcher, Catcher) a lot deeper than any other tournament they've ever played in. The additions also make the offense considerably better. This is the first tournament Lights Out! won't have to go 8 and 4 for the entire day. Needless to say, expectations are high within this team. Although I'm sure some people might not agree with my ranking here.
5. Shockwave - I feel like the kickball world is still buzzing about Shockwave from all the way back in February. This team showed up at SFKO and made some noise, beating FL on their way to the elimination round and a really good performance in pool play. They've got athletes, and they're getting better.
6. Foot Snipers - This team made some noise in Jacksonville when they handed the Meatballs their first pool play loss since 2009. From what I hear, they won't have a few players they had at JKO, mainly the guys on loan from Panik Attack. Some may say that helps explain their success at JKO, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that they can still play at a high level without the guys from PA.
7. Runnin Rebels - The word on the street is that this team is good. I've never heard of them, but I did hear a rumor that DJ is playing with this team in Harrisburg, and not OSC. I don't konw if the rumor is true, but to convince a guy of his caliber to play for you is proof enough for me that this team is for real.
8. Deja Vu - This team is another team that is still buzzing, albeit not as much as Shockwave, from their performance at DCKO last summer. They lost DJ to OSC shortly after DCKO last year, but it takes more than one guy to play at the level they've played at. I don't think Deja Vu Dynasty is a team that anybody looks forward to playing when they see them on their schedule for the day.
9. BSB - I don't know a lot about BSB and I don't remember ever seeing them play. What I do know is that they are held in high regard amongst their peers in the kickball world. I value the opinions of some of those people who I've heard talk about BSB, which is why I have them here.
10. JCru - I think this team was at SFKO and impressed some people. My memory isn't what it used to be, but I remember walking away from SFKO hearing people talking about JCru as an up and coming team with a lot of talent. Those are the kinds of things you like to hear if you're trying to make a name for yourself on the Circuit.
11. Boston Massacre - This team is a hard team to rank, because it's a combo team that hasn't ever played together before. I know one thing though, they don't lack individual talent. Angry Penguins, No Dead Weight, Good Will Bunting, and even some Flying V is represented on this team, if I'm not mistaken. If I am, please let me know. Will they be able to gel in Harrisburg? We'll see.
12. Mo' Tussin - This is another team with a good reputation on the Circuit. The problem is that I'm hearing they're traveling light to this tournament. I've traveled light to tournaments and it's tough. This team definitely has talent, and I won't be surprised if they ruin somebody's day in pool play.
13. Peninsula Pounders - I can't even talk about this team without mentioning The Experience before I mention their on the field success. This is a good team, and I think they are sometimes overlooked. I followed their FB updates from JKO and it sounded like they were giving some teams some problems early on. I can't figure out how serious they are, though. I do know that if you want to rest a bunch of players against this team, you might regret it later.
14. Lebco Legends - Not a lot is known about this team. I do know they were at DCKO last year and opened up their competitive Circuit experience against the Meatballs. I'd like to welcome this team back, and I'm glad they're sticking around. You never know if a team is going to come back after their first experience at a top tournament, and the Meatballs aren't the team you want to start off with, especially if you've never been around the Circuit before. I did play this team at DCKO, and they're good. They have athletes who can kick, and they're fast. This team is going to surprise some people in Harrisburg. I have them down here because they have almost no Circuit experience.
15. Rockstar Lifestyle - This is a well traveled team, but I don't remember them ever making elimination, and I don't think they own a victory over any team of significance on the Circuit, either. I know they have some players and I hear they are getting better, though. Sometimes all it takes to turn the corner is a victory over a good squad. Will Harrisburg be the tournament they break through to the elimination round?
Notes - I think it's pretty obvious who the top two teams are. I gave NYSH the nod because they have a first place finish this Circuit year. I know LIU lost some players, but I still think they have the experience, and enough talent to warrant a number three ranking. After number three, the next 5 or so teams can get difficult to rank. I'm on Lights Out! and I know what kind of roster we have for this tournament, so some homerism is probably affecting my rankings at this point. However, I think my numbers 4-9 could almost be interchangeable, depending on who you're talking to. I don't know a lot about BSB, but I do know they are considered a pretty good team. Foot Snipers own a victory over Meatballs that's only a couple of weeks old. Deja Vu impressed people at DCKO last year, and I've heard nothing but really good things about the Runnin' Rebels. Is DJ playing for them?

Just so it's out there for everyone, Snipers had 2 PA players on their roster in Jax, JC and Randi. There could be a chance you see them in HBG too.

Considering DJ is the captain of the Runnin' Rebels I think it was more him convincing his team to make the trip. I believe another OSCer is playing with them too. Apparently Shockwave and the Rebels are very evenly matched in their local league and are 1 and 2, in some order, every season.
Definitely takes some talent away from OSC but they roll so deep that it won't have a huge effect.

I'd assume. DJ's their captain so he's the man to ask. My understanding is DJ and co. will be playing with OSC at future Circuit tourneys.

Runnin' Rebels will not be registering as a Circuit team. We're playing in this tournament because the commish of our Recess league is sponsoring us. (Maybe Va. Beach as well)
The Rebels that also play for OSC and Deja Vu will be returning to their respective Circuit teams after this tournament. With that being said, we are excited for this coming weekend!
Most of us will be there in time for the meet and greet.

Negative ghost rider... pattern is full.
That may be the standard for the OSC,iB,DJV army, but Jellydogg and myself are working to create teams not from that pool.

Either way, I am sure everyone would agree that JC made/makes them a lot better unless they have a pitcher who is of equal or greater ability than him for his role. And I am sure I would know Randi if I saw her, but I cannot recall who she is. My guess is that if she is on PA that she is top notch, so same goes for her.

Foot Snipers pitcher is Dave, the same guy you pitched with on BiB last year in ATL. Adding JC into the mix at pitcher really allowed us to move players around and rest others, which we didn't get to do in past tournaments (BiB at least).
Not that it mattered in the end considering our fade, but I think we can all agree that adding top level depth to a key position is huge.

I agree, so my question is, if you don't have that guy where you can do what you did, then what will happen?

I played with OSC in Fla. but I never lead off. I played with DJV last year and I was their leadoff.
